With pro football having a big weekend for viewership and buzz - I think baseball feels the nudge that losing regular season games and parts of training camp will make them look sillier than usual. I think the labor agreement will get wrapped up soon.

I'm glad you mentioned that - the new trainers slipped ol' Keuchel some drinks that grew him a brand-new left arm for this season. Also - leaving nothing to chance - Uncle Jerry sprung for a medical procedure to plant inside Keuchel's brain the sonar system for perfect throwing accuracy. All it will cost you is a measly $5 per beer at the ballpark.

I am having a great deal of enjoyment of thinking of you in some Chicago Bridgeport bar slapping your hand down on the table - a small amount of mis-guzzled beer sprays off your chin - as you bark out our posts.

But the mis-guzzled beer spraying off his chin rings true, right?

Yeah - I understand @Jiddy wants the status of being Bridgeportian, but is unwilling to actually put in the commitment.

A for effort on this post...Would have been A+ if you referred to the first part as "Reynaldo Lopez Treatment"

I used to live in Brighton Park....right next to Kelly HS.
I bet you shopped at El Guero.

My comment was more about how you’re a carpetbagging Floridian now.

I’ve probably asked you this, and if so, I apologize because I forgot what you said. Where’d you go to high school?

Oh yeah, I imagine a guy from Brighton Park has numerous sauce stains on his shirt.

El Guero Supermercado was my jam. Had to use the laundromat over there all the time. Those were some interesting years.

If you're referring to this:

Indeed, it does appear that that the two sides may be in the throes of an agreement, possibly even getting it done in time for a full spring training, altho it would hardly shock me if some of that gets cut short. I think fans would more than live with some ST reduction, just so long as there's a full regular season. Here's to hoping that both sides remember the very ugly '94 CBA and want to avoid this at all costs. I'm not counting my chickens yet, but I am gathering them from the yard and placing them in the pen, ready for the big count!!
