Players who were great and quickly forgotten after 2020.

Adrian Phillips led the Patriots in tackles with 114

Ja'Waun Bentley had 96 tackles.

Chase Winovich led the Patriots with 5.5 sacks.

JC Jackson was 2nd in the NFL with 8 INTs

Patriots defense led the NFL in 2020 with 27 INTs

The honesty of it was that the defense played better than the record indicates. The offense shit the bed.

Ya. Pretty hard to play lights out defense every week when you know your offense is not only NOT going to score many if any points but that they're either going to turn the ball over every possession or at the very least leave the opposing offense with sweet field position.

No shoulder Cam couldn't throw the ball with any consistency and when the play broke down everybody knew he was going to run.

And Stiddy was in the dog house tethered with a grade 10 logging chain.

Mostly. Except against the run. Our linebackers were very inconsistent.
Problem fixed! On to the wins

Bruce Arians has announced: "I don't give a crap what the league rules are. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will not leave the hotel for any reason other than the game when we are on the road. That's my rule and there will be no exceptions."

Sounds like he wants his team to be focused on football and not wanting to take any chances of forfeit.

sounds to me he wants to punish the entire team for the choices of a few. I do agree in this: It forces those not vaccinated to comply with strict practices without them complaining they are being singled out.

Thank you Chargerswire. Here's four bold BigKen predictions for Patriots Week 8 vs Chargers

Keenan Allen will be targeted 11 times and have 3 catches for 36 yards.
Jalen Mills and newcomer Shaun Wade will make Keenan Allen's life miserable. Herbert's game plan will to be to avoid throwing at the Patriots ballhawk, JC Jackson and that plan will cost the Chargers as Allen will not be able to break the duos's grip.

Damien Harris will rush for 162 yards and 3 TDs
The Chargers have not been able to stop the run and Damien Harris has run well against much better. Harris will break several long runs and force the deep cover guys to do the tackling downfield. Chargers haven't stopped anyone so far, don't expect a miracle Sunday.

Justin Herbert will throw for 220 yards 2 TD and be sacked 5 times.
Patriots have 9 sacks in 2021 and Herbert does not respond well at all to pressure. The Patriots defense has shown that they can crush the pocket and get to the QB. Herbert will be dumping off a lot of short passes.

Mac Jones will throw for his second 300 yard game.
The Chargers play a deep zone and keep their safeties back to prevent the long pass. This allows for an opponent to throw passes 4-12 yards. This is Mac Jones' game. His completion percentage will be higher than his normal 71% this week. Expect Mac to be 28 for 37 for nearly 76% and 318 yards and 11. yards per completion.

Patriots will leave SoFi winning 35-24

Meet Christian Barmore
Quote by the Colts' safety whose name I can't remember.

"We'll stop the run and make Jones throw over the line. We'll be waiting."

No sense in playing if you don't have confidence.

Then again, Buffalo knew exactly what the Patriots were going to and stacked the box with 10. What happened??

Wow! What a well written article...

Never mind the fact that New England led 14-10 at halftime with under-inflated balls and exploded for 28 second-half points with properly inflated-balls as the Patriots marched to a 45-7 win over the Colts.

Can we check that math again??
Somebody got a pencil and paper maybe?
