I don’t know what you all did to piss off the football gods, but this just looks like the football version of the curse of the Bambino.

Just unbelievable the roster attrition this team has gone through 2 years in a row after waiting so long to be good.
Add in coaching like Wiggy said, this isn't the first case "play not to lose". All that 7-7 but looking at some heartbreaking games this season they could easily be 10-4 specifically the Chargers game, Ravens game where Lamar had 4 TO's and this game. No chance they make the playoffs especially playing GB next game. The conservative playcalling at the end of games has been their fate though, they can't keep this up and like you said, injuries, covid, etc. is just an added bonus. Ohh well...we are used to it.

honestly- do not think I have ever been more frustrated with a football game in a long long time.

sucks to see the Browns fight with 20 guys on the Covid list and come up short in such agonizing fashion. Just a gut shot. Defense played great.

bad play calling. They somehow played not to lose in the first half.

and hoenstly- very disappointed in PEoples-Jones. I thought he shit the bed. He dropped balls. Instances where he could have made a play he came up short.

you give them Landry and Newsome in this game and I think they somehow pull it off.

and get rid of the idiot kicker. choke artist.
That one sucked for sure. I'd rather just get blown out.

I was not at all opposed to a throw on 3rd and 3 but don't kid yourself. Throw and have it incomplete and then it's "how do you not give the ball to your best player?"

Isn't to say I see it happening, but even with a loss to GB it wouldn't take a crazy path to win the division. Beat Cnici/Pitt and....
Bmore - lose at Cinci and to Rams (or Steelers)
steelers - lose to KC
Cinci - lose to KC

and might get worse. Not sure we can get Clowney back soon, his backup out for year and now Garrett could be hurt (haven't heard status).

some of it is coaching, sure, but can it ever be the players?

whatever it was it was a gut punch.

GB is really good, but they are also beatable because they are also on the conservative side, especially when they get a lead.

I would not rule out a win against them. Stranger things have happened.

But I would agree it probably isn’t in the cards.

I wouldn't rule out any team beating anyone this season. Especially all those teams with 6 or more wins.

There is so much parity.

There are a few really bad teams, and a handful of really good ones.

No dominant teams and probably 2/3 of the league is hovering around average.

Don’t recall ever seeing so many teams within a game of .500 this deep into the season.

It was partially about penalties IMO. Holding penalties brought back several good gains (and cost me a Chubb TD in fantasy lol).

Yep...and even the really bad ones can beat the good or really good. Jville over Bills, Detroit stomped AZ just this week, for instance.

Pretty sure the Raiders had more holds and we still scored after the negated Chubb TD.....well, Browns did. Sorry about your fantasy team.

Probably won't matter (still have more players tonight), as nearly my whole team tanked. Sucks to watch my highly favored team get beat by guys like Amon-Ra St Brown lol; just wasn't meant to be.

Agree. Those kinds of losses are the worst. At least with a blow out, you can just chalk it up to not...our day.

Lots of 2nd guessing with a loss like yesterday.
