Re IKF. I do think he is better defensively than Storey although some may say off year
To me you Always need good defense up the middle. So a premium player is one who plays in the middle with premium defense and great offense

Agree that IKF can play well on defense. If he can hit with power, then we have no need for Story etc.

I am ok with IKF but you need elite hitters around him. He is not a building block and even may be too expensive although really competent as a utility IF.
We need at least two elite players at SS, 2B, C and CF. The other two you bat 8 and 9

I liked it best when we had Elvis, Kinsler, Napoli, and Hamilton at those positions in 2011. Now that is a recipe for success.

Yes you could cover Elvis bat in that scenario but he was a good base runner and a little underrated defensively because of his lack of focus. But they could turn a DP with the best of them. Totally synced

Yes, this. There are still several pieces to figure out in 2022. Definitely need to bring in a quality FA bat this offseason, and two if we are incredibly lucky. Anything past that is trying to rush the process, which would be a mistake.

With another year it's very possible. To early to give up on OF. Pitcher C and SS is a better consideration now.

Well if we take that approach then let’s get Correa on a somewhat front loaded long term contract like 10 year $280 million paying him a lot per year the first 3 years while our payroll will be low by default
I would also look at Marcus Stroman and Noah Syndergaard
