Boston is going to be a tough one but they are sputtering. Post season hope fades if they can’t can’t win the series against BOS imo….. they hold the 2nd WC spot. after KC it’s nothing but Angels and A’s!

Boston beat Chicago Saturday and Chicago took Boston on Sunday 2-1. Our boys better be on their game in this 3 game home Bo Sox series. Losing 2 of 3 to the MLB's last place team doesn't cut it. I'll say it again, this M's team plays to the level of their opponents. That being said, we should have a decent run against Boston. If not, the 7 games we have left with Oakland could seal our fate. The 3 with KC and 6 with LA just might be key....if there is still a key to be had. lol Go Hawks :thumb:

how it looks right now...is toronto and boston..but they are tied at .......tor 80-63..boston..81-64..tied on win pct
new york yanks ..79 -63
seattle..77 -66
and oakland 77-66
are still in the chase
toronto position..at 2 games behind...in the total amount of games played...is a nice position...and toronto is hot right now
yankes also have nice position..same deal as toronto a 1/2 game back

bostons position is not as good..cuz they have already lost..an extra game....even though they have won an extra one as well.......

seattle's pitching has to take..the blame..for this....the bull pen gave up this game......where kuchi did a good enough job..cuz he was in trouble..but he got out of it....so he was ok.
saturday's game..the pitching can be blamed..as well as........... the offence..cuz they had there chances

where......... risp was helping them before...now it is not

If they're going to humiliate themselves against ARIZONA, of all teams, then they don't deserve a postseason spot. They can't decide as it is whether or not they want to compete with the big teams, and that's frustrating enough, but THIS...

No. Not happening this year.

Losing the series to 96 loss team at home? Way to blow your opportunities boys. Ugly. Still young and learning but can’t be doing this.
It was one of the fears I had when it was a near consensus that after the Yankees the Mariners had the easiest schedule of playoff contenders. But the Mariners don’t play well against bottom feeders.

Exactly. There's something to be said about a team that "plays down to their competition," and that's exactly what they do.

And there's a price to pay for doing so.

They should have "learned" in full from earlier in the season, when they were around the Mendoza Line.

Nope, the Win-Loss record may be better than expected, but they are nowhere NEAR ready.

We win round 1

I think they need to sweep BOSOX to really feel like they belong in this playoff race.

They also need to have the Blue Jays do what NYY after their 13-14 game win streak ... which was to promptly go on a big LOSING streak.

Anytime 4-5 teams are vying for 2 playoff spots and are within a couple games of one another ... you gotta get real hot real quick to make a statement / move up in the standings.

Beating Boston game 1 was a good start ... but means nothing if they lose against them today in game 2. They gotta win all 3 vs BOS and take 4 of 6 against OAK. Then play above .500 against remaining teams KC LAA I think. And hope TOR cools off and Yankees don't tear off on another multi game 5-6-7 game win streak.

Mariners need to play really good these next couple weeks and get some help by at least 2 of the teams ahead of them playing sub .500 over a 2 week stretch. That is a tough nut to crack

I think it needs to be a sweep too. You pissed away whatever margin for error you had last weekend. Taking 2/3 still leaves you 2 games back and probably behind the yankees still too. Im not sure catching toronto is viable anymore. They were always the team that worried me most if they put it together and it appears they have

Lol…. They might as well just say what it is already. Multiple outlets and reports already reporting that the ASG and HR Derby will come to T-Mobile Park in 2023.
