Yet the old timers were sacked far more often than current day QBs. Today's QBs have far better athletes protecting them and catching their passes as well. We've been down this road before. Better athletes on both sides of the ball cancel each other out and the rule changes that have all favored the offense have inflated the stats of current day QBs compared to QBs of old.

So many things were not better in the old days.
Googling, for example. Making lists could take all day!

I'm not one of those old guys who believes the players were better back then, but QBs definitely had a tougher time of it.
