Well, so much for the Knicks hype train.

This was the easiest " so called upset" series to pick.

I think the Hawks are establishing themselves as clearly the 4th best team in the East after the East's big 3 of Philly, Milwaukee and Brooklyn.

Young- getting better.

I think most Knicks fans are pretty happy with this team. Media will of course sow discord because New York Media.
they are pretty happy- but at the end of the day- is there a solid foundation to build on and take the next step?

unless they get someone big in free agency id say no.

It was an awful playoff series for them,

Knicks fans have a right to be pissed just a little bit. They won't be entirely angry, as Tierney suggested....but maybe a little bit angry.

Atlanta might be better than it has been in a while. But, it is still fucking Atlanta. It is a franchise they usually cannot get out of its own way.

The Hawks had big double digit second half leads in the last 4 games.

You cannot let the Hawks brutalize you this badly over and over, no matter the circumstances.

I agree with this but I also think that that the Knicks were the ultimate try hard team.

The Knicks just didn't have enough offense to be a scary playoff team.

I would be surprised to see the Sixers-Hawks series go 6 if Embiid is healthy.

They are unlikely to take it to the next level. They will either need to hit a lottery ticket in the draft, make an incredibly deft trade, or bring the right superstar to the team.

If I were Rose I would keep my powder dry in FA this offseason and hope that Thibs can keep this team fighting. Make a couple of nice moves and be a team that could maybe be a 2nd round team. Then convince a star to come to MSG.

Not great odds of that happening but at least have a chance.

Obviously a homer statement. But honestly Randle is probably a 2nd team All-NBA player which Bosh only achieved once in his life.

So while it is homeristic, it is actually not that crazy a comment.

Yep. Bosh was by far the 'smallest' of the Big 3. He got a couple rings but Randle isn't exactly done.

The Knicks had a damn good season, considering how bad they've been for nearly the last 10 yrs....so there's nothing to feel bad or ashamed about, moving forward.
I've been a Knicks fan since 1968. I've seen it all with this franchise...good, bad, terrible, tremendous, awful, amazing...and everything else in between.

A few more key pieces will hopefully be added this off season via FA, trade +/or the draft to help them improve so they can get to that next level....which would be a 1st or 2nd round playoff series win.....and build from there.
Their front office is finally competent once again, and they also have a real good head coach in place.

I'm sure they're disappointed that they didn't advance and how it came to an end...but it's a part of the growth and learning process. They're mostly a pretty young team....and now they got a little taste of some postseason experience, which will go a long way and make them hungry to get back there.

The foundation is solid at MSG.

I already can't wait until October for the 2021-22 season to get here.

They are still growing guys. I think John Collins is growing into a great third option and DeAndre Hunter still has room to grow into being that guy you speak of. Also, Capela is the perfect pick and roll 5 to play with Young.

I should read better. You were talking Knicks not the Hawks and I absolutely agree. Randle isn’t The Man. That was proven when he saw the impact of playoff defense geared toward stopping him. He couldn’t adjust.

that!!! was a horrible display by both coach and players. totally brushed aside what this team did during reg. Season. In New York , you’re only as good what you do in Post season play. That’s just the way it is.

Not to sound like a broken record, but , I did call from beginning that Randle CHOKED. Thibs , had no clue how to contain one player, Trae young . while their coach figured out way to get into Randles head.

what a waste. Not going to attract any player off season!

Happy about what?

thibs did nothing to get the team to play under control.

every shot was rushed. Defense was porous throughout...
