You do know Pepper isn't that unusual of a last name and there are many actual Dr. Peppers, right?

His evolution as a player is really impressive.

When he was MVP before the injuries, he was arguably the most explosive athlete in the league. Right there with guys like Russ, Blake Griffin, etc.

He isn’t close to that anymore. But he has greatly improved his jumpshot. His floater game is on point (he has always had that shot dialed in) and he just really understands how to get angles and use his strength to create space.

Personally, I never thought he would be this effective again. He is a pretty darn good point guard.

But he actually struck me as a very low basketball IQ guy in his Bulls days, at least compared to other good players.

He has come a long way in that regard. If he knew then what he knows now, he would have been truly special.
