I Think not keeping Rozier was a bad mistake, the Celtics for the most look like 90% of the teams in the league...do they feel like playing tonight, or did they rip the bong too many times while they were playing video games during the day. As a gambler this league will drive you nuts. I like that scoring is back up.

i can’t blame them for rozier. Before this year he was considered one of the worst 10 deals in the league.

kemba got hurt. It happens. It’s bad luck.

I can’t take this brand of basketball

I don’t see any answers. Teams aren’t valuing Romero or grant Williams to the extent they arguably should, and certainly not to the way danny does

Yea. No re-signing him at that deal

I've been watching... the C's look awful... they don't pass the eye-ball test... at all.
  • Body language is bad.
  • Effort has gotten somewhat better on defense, but still too many defensive lapses for a professional, talented team.
  • Offense is the biggest problem. Little flow. Disjointed. Clunky.
This year's team has major problems.

charlotte should move graham now. They got enough pg talent and he’s cheap enough that contenders Can add him rather easily.

he’s more of a Lou Williams type

at this point need kemba to get healthy and then figure out what you do.

I’m selling theis at this point. They aren’t bringing him back.

but he won’t get the return he is actually probably worth.

I would agree. And they don’t pass the ball. It’s Tatum holding on to it. Not Boston brand

Heads need to roll

Yeah I agree. If they could get something of real value for him, which they should since he's so cheap, they would be better off moving him now. He's never going to be a championship caliber PG.

Noticed no TT Wednesday but missed beginning of game. What happened to him?

Honestly was hoping the Cs would come back and pull it out. Guessing you did too.

So, apparently, the Celtics (finally?) held one of those "players only team meetings" over the weekend.

Fine, I guess... I hope there was some soul-searching.

Talk is cheap, though... the only cure here is winning... and in order to win, the C's are gonna have to change the way they play on the court.

brad needs to impose his will on the team to actually run his system.

none of these guys are good enough to do it 1 on 1 like a bron or kawhi that they pretend themselves to be.

I don’t know if there’s a move out there that makes them contenders this year. So I’m thinking you sell theis now. The other one to think about is smart because you’ve extracted a lot of value from him over his first 7 years or so, but how much are you willing to pay the guy for a 3rd contract?

And finally need to keep rehabbing kemba. A strong finish gives you options this summer.

^ Well said. I agree 100%, and I think ^these issues^ are the crux of our problems:
  • Our stars trying to play "hero ball" as opposed to team ball, and failing miserably as a result
  • Brad maybe being too dang nice (?) to stop/fix what are clear and long-running issues with this group.

there’s a fine line for a contending team and having your young players continue to grow

there will be by growing pains

but they can’t keep making the same mistakes over and over again.

That’s the problem.

Phil Jackson has always said that when you have a special talent, you sometimes have to let them operate outside the system. The trick for the both the player and the coach is to find the right balance. Seems like maybe your C's are trying to figure out that balance.

Sure.

In today's NBA... only a very select few can operate outside the "law of team" and still play winning basketball... especially in the post-season.

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown and Kemba Walker... these guys are very talented... but it's clear they are not on the level of a LeBron (for instance)... and they can't lone-gun it... (even in the regular season)... and win on their own.

What's notable (to me) is we're not even talking about the playoffs here. We're talking about the regular season, and the Celtics often losing to miserable teams... the C's have had at least a half dozen different terrible losses this year.

You know your team better than I do, so you're probably right. I just know it was something MJ struggled with early in his career and Kobe struggled with it a couple of times. First when he was in the "Robin" role and then again when he was in the "Batman" role.

Which of the 3 do you think is closest to being "that guy"? If one can be that, maybe the other 2 just need to accept that it's not them?
