Man, I just checked a whole boatload of websites that I have linked for the Bears, including all the local rags and most national sites, and I found jack squat on this supposedly massive offer for Watson. Some noise on Wilson and even a click or two regarding Alex Smith of late, but zilch on Watson. Maybe I need to check the latest updates on Bizarro World.com.

You should learn how to use google. Top links via google. But nothing from Bizarro World.com.

Fair enough, I'll concede there are stories out there referring to this hype. And I'll even pull the Bizarro World insult. Unfortunately, I cannot pull the statement of you making the dumbest request a sports fan can make by wanting his team to throw the season. But at least you're vindicated here on the Watson story.

LOL, as already conceded, I did blow it by not searching enough, even tho I must have looked at 8 or 9 sites. No argument and no problem conceding. And more importantly no pivoting, unlike you, who refuses to admit that you made the absolute, unquestionably dumbest statement a sports fan can make. Unlike me, your fragile ego will never allow you to admit when you're wrong, because deep down you're very weak minded. And we all recognize this.

Good on you for missing articles that are literally everywhere even though you claimed you checked 8 different sites. Which obviously is a lie.

Top 10 pick is better than the 20th pick. You're the only one who doesn't know why. And i can't help you understand.

You should try out for a goalie job with the Blackhawks. You're excellent at deflecting.

No you didn't. All you have said time and again is drafting 10th is better than drafting 20th. Whew!!! Such insight. But where you really come across as the true genius that you are is when you enlightened us all by stating the same 10 pick advantage actually applies to ALL THE ROUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mind blowing!!! You're right my good man, the Genius really does see things others don't!!

So now that I've conceded such stupidity on my part (I mean, how could I NOT see that the 10th pick is better than the 20th), perhaps you can answer just a few questions I've previously asked of you......just for clarity's sake. For instance.........

-How could the Bears throw the season and not risk sanctions or other penalties from the league, which....call me crazy for suggesting this.....but which might actually cost us draft picks?
-How does management square it with the owners that it's their desire to throw games just for the sake of better draft picks? I have to assume management wants another contract at some point. And again, call me crazy, but I think owners would prefer to see their teams play their best and try to win every game possible (I know, what a nutjob I am, right?)
-How does management convince the coaching staff that they should not field their best talent or perhaps make terrible calls to help throw the games? I mean, I have to assume coaches will want future contracts at some point, which is usually based on being successful, and being successful generally means winning games - I know, crazy concept, yes?
-How does the coaching staff convince the players to throw the games, to not play at their best. I have to assume players will want future contracts at some point, not to mention possessing intense pride, having played competitively for most of their lives. But now they're to throw all that away and risk their future livelihood for the sake of better draft picks?
-How does the team respond to the media, which is going to paste it all over the sports world that the Bears are purposely losing games because they want to position themselves better for the draft?
-How does the team risk alienating the fans, who pay insane amounts of money to watch their team, only to lose????? Or even non-paying fans who watch the games on TV, will they be loyal viewers watching loss after loss knowing their team is tanking for some additional draft picks?
-And finally, what kind of idiot does it take to suggest his team tank the rest of the season after already having won 5 games?

Thanks in advance for your detailed response to each and every question I just posed, BS. Or am I just pivoting.

How else were I supposed to answer when you keep asking what the logic was behind tanking? The ONLY reason to tank is for a higher draft pick. If you don't want to hear an obvious answer, don't ask obvious questions.

All these questions are the same, just wrapped them differently in an effort to make it sound like you have multiple points. Very simple. You tell the team and media, we are going to play the younger guys and try different things at QB. Tyler Bray come on up, clearly Trubs and Foles isn't the answer, lets give Tyler a shot. Riley Ridley, come on down, you're up too buddy. Baseball teams do this all the time, you go youth movement knowing this means you will likely lose games.

-And finally, what kind of idiot does it take to suggest his team tank the rest of the season after already having won 5 games?

I never said tank after the 5th game. Stop putting words into my mouth. I said tank after losing 7 in a row when our record was 5-7. At that point everyone in Chicago knew what this team was and that certainly wasn't a competitive team. Everyone knew if we luckily back ourself into the playoffs we wouldn't have a shot. We should have tanked the last 4 games of the year. Instead we have idiots in here believing this team is good after beating the mighty Texans, Vikings and Jags and one moron saying Montgomery is "elite". We have an idiot fan base.

Thanks in advance for your detailed response to each and every question I just posed, BS. Or am I just pivoting.

This time you did not pivot.

And give me a break with all this nonsense about team risking alienating the fans. You build a team through the draft and the higher the pick the better. As it stands now there isn't a draft "expert" out there who thinks we can land one of the top QBs in the draft with the 20th pick. Imagine having a top 10 pick and we draft young talented QB to build around. I don't think that would "alienate" the fan base. It would give this fan base hope. Instead what did we end up with by not tanking? Giving up the farm for maybe Watson or Russel? ---this is the reward for not tanking. Give me a break. There is no hope for this team w/out a QB and there is none in sight. Next year will be a rinse and repeat of this year but only worse.

Duh. Once again, brilliance from the Genius. 10th is better than 20th!!! Damn, you da man!!

They are not the same Capt Mensa. You just don't tell the media and the public - especially the money paying fanbase, "Oh we're going to go with scrubs and try different things." LOL, yeah, that'll sell it. What if....no, make that WHEN the league sees your team is openly tanking, you honestly think they're not going to take any action? You don't think the media is going to crawl all over the team's ass night and day? You think the fans are going to PAY to watch their team lose on purpose? You actually believe the brass, the coaching staff, and most importantly, the players are going to go along with this? Seriously? Because if you do, I have some kick ass oceanfront property in North Dakota that I can sell you for a song.

I never said you said after the 5th game. I said you wanted us to tank after having already won 5 games. Asking to tank at that point is the sign of a complete crybaby. A pouting little kid who's mad at his team and now wants them to lose (for those 10 incredible spots)
This time you did not pivot.

And give me a break with all this nonsense about team risking alienating the fans. You build a team through the draft and the higher the pick the better. So you say it's nonsense that the Bears could risk alienating the fans....and let's focus in particular on those who actually pay to watch the games in person......these people who dish out incredible amounts of cash are going to sit back and not mind watching their team openly lose, just for a better (and not all that much better) spot in the draft????? It amazes me that you fail to see the utter stupidity in this complete lack of logic. Then again, maybe it shouldn't amaze me. After all, you're quite use to uttering simplistic one/two line explanations when making your feeble points. And few people ever challenge this. But it delights me to take you to task, to force you to come up with common sense, logical responses, which I knew from the outset when I first pointed out that dumb tanking post, that you were incapable of producing such.

So you're not off the hook buddy. You technically responded, but really didn't delve into the illogic of your counterpoints. And I have more questions, but I'll wait until the ones I've already asked have been fully addressed, not the cosmetic gibberish you've posted.

God, you must hate me.

Here's the question you asked me: "Secondly, please explain how moving up 10 spots would have changed the course of the Bears fortunes". You clearly did not understand what moving up 10 spots means. Just stating facts. Now you are trying to pivot and backpedal. Nothing new here.

They are not the same Capt Mensa. You just don't tell the media and the public - especially the money paying fanbase, "Oh we're going to go with scrubs and try different things." You don't think the media is going to crawl all over the team's ass night and day?

You are so dizzyingly dumb. You tell them we are going to play the young kids to see what they got. You don't have to openly say, we're tanking you idiot. Geezus this is not rocket science. You're making it sound like this is going to be some huge scandal and the world will be against us. You have lost touch with reality.

I never said you said after the 5th game.

What in the world does having won 5 games have to do with anything then? You shouldn't ?play the kids because we're 5-7?

Asking to tank at that point is the sign of a complete crybaby. A pouting little kid who's mad at his team and now wants them to lose (for those 10 incredible spots)

Who cares what YOU think? Play the kids, nothing wrong with that.

So you say it's nonsense that the Bears could risk alienating the fans.

You underestimate the fanbase. They're not all idiots like you. They understand what's going on, they understand the value of high draft picks and the need for a new QB. They're not caught up in this bs bravado shit about "we have to win every game, even the ones that don't mean shit (angry face)". You don't play the game, you're just a fan, sit down and shut up.

Oh, and BTW, how did that Trubisky thing work out for us when we had the #2 pick in the draft? LOL, let's keep this going all offseason. I'm sure we're entertaining the rest of the board. I personally love watching you squirm.

Yes, lets never draft a QB again because Trubisky was a bust...makes sense.

You're boring me very quickly. Pick it up junior, otherwise i have bigger fish to fry.

I'm not a Bears fan but a Watson signing would place them right in the mix next yer. They need a quality QB under center and especially with the rest of the division raising their chances. With last years playoff picture still in sight, the Bears need a shot at first or second to make it. The division just got tougher with Goff. Good luck Bears fans

Yes, lets never draft a QB again because Trubisky was a bust...makes sense.
And I said in our ongoing one-sided debate that we should never draft another QB again..................when? Nice deflection tho.

Sorry, you're not getting off that easy. We have a loooooooooong offseason to continue discussing all this. More questions to follow - that is, once you've actually answered the previous ones I've already asked.
