1) Kwity Paye DE Mich
2) Dillon Radunz OT NDST
3) Greg Newsome CB NWST
If Kwitty is the every down player with pass rush skills, great. It could be the Rosseau guys from Miami or some other prospect, but Edge should get the first look.

If there is not enough value at Edge, an LT works for me. Don't know if this particular guy is the pick, but i'd check value at LT after Edge.

Yes, a lot of things can change by April 29th, but for now we can only go with what we know.

Wow, Jeremiah ranks Kyle Pitts as a TOP 3 talent. I know we can't go with only one person's opinion, but say it was close to true, then Pitts could easily be solid value at #12. I wouldn't freak out.

I can't see us drafting Pitts cause i don't expect we'll re-sign Trent Williams. If they can draft McGlinchey at 9 overall, then they would look at an LT at #12..

If Trent Williams isn't resigned then yeah they have to look at LT. If they also lose Sherman, Verrett, and Williams at CB that need becomes pressing in rounds 2-4.

Any thought on OG Quinn Meinerz?
QUINN MEINERZG, WISCONSIN-WHITEWATER WARHAWKS
Quinn Meinerz - Wisconsin-Whitewater Warhawks - NFL Draft

UW-Whitewater senior OL Quinn Meinerz accepted an invite to the 2021 Senior Bowl.

There always seems to be one or two small school OL down at the Senior Bowl and Meinerz is slotting into that role this year. A 6-foot-3, 320-pound guard, Meinerz has great size for the position and poses himself as a bit of an unmovable object in the middle. Meinerz is a clear mauler in the run game, so he will probably be looking to prove himself in pass pro down in Mobile.

I'd take a flyer with our 3rd
He's getting a lot of love from the NFL networks resident draft expert. Looks good at the Senior Bowl practices

Having more quality at IOL helps us out, cause i would ex[ect we'll draft someone in the 3rd - 5th area. Ideally we get a solid Center before OG, but
'ideally' hardly plays out. :-)

He's been lining up at center as well as guard. I agree with that. FA or the draft we need multiple OL

Ok then better yet. Apparently, there are more GOOD Centers than Landon Dickerson from Alabama. Josh Myers, Ohio St; Creed Humphrey, Oklahoma; Luke Matthews, Texas A&M.

Draft one in the 3rd to 5th round stretch.

Mac Jones, QB, Alabama. The national championship-winning QB was consistent and steady in practices, just like he was during the season. There's no individual trait that wows you, but he's a good decision maker with accuracy and touch, especially underneath and at the intermediate levels. He'll leave Mobile having shown he was the best passer of the Senior Bowl QBs. It was impressive that he came here to compete after wrapping up his season just a couple weeks ago and I still have him rated on the borderline of the first round. Hopefully we'll get a chance to see him in the game on Saturday, but he did say he hurt his left ankle in practice on Thursday and wouldn't play if he didn't feel 100 percent.

We know there are things still to play out but based on what i know today, drafting Jones in Round 2 makes more sense than chasing Watson, Stafford, etc. Shannahan needs someone who is consistent and good at short to medium range. Our 'base' passing game relies on getting the ball out quick and getting RAC's.

Even if we trade up a little in Round 2, better than giving up the 12th for Stafford, or trading away two draft "classes" for Watson. Not against Watson or other vet QB, but just don't think the DIFFERENCE between them and JG is worth that kind of draft capital?

So far OT Jamie Newman Wake Forest has looked good.

And then get beaten badly by Jones for the sack.
Creed Humphreys is playing as advertised.

We could REALLY use an Edge or LT, so good to see there are more than a few candidates at either spot. A 12th pick will be a long term fixture for the 49ers, i'd hate to trade it now.

As it stands now, i'd stick with JG and draft a QB, vice trading away high draft picks.. I'd look to add Mac Jones by trading up to the late 1st, i wouldn't go with Trey Lance at 12th. Lance is one of those tons of physical talent prospects, too risky at 12th.

It can be someone else besides Jones, but so far i only read about him being good at short to medium range.

So JG is the starter with the rookie given the opportunity to b the back-up. If not the rookie, maybe Rosen can become the back-up?

I'd rather they trade down from #12 than move up from #43 if they were to target Jones

Yes ok, if they view Mac Jones as this good a value (BPA), no problem with a small trade down. I'd even draft him at 12th if he has that kind of value. He might not have as higher value for other teams, but he might have it for what Shannahan wants?

BTW - i'm using Mac Jones but it could be another QB with consistent accuracy.

At this point i would look to draft Mac Jones to address the QB situation, as opposed to trading away multiple high draft picks. This of course assumes Mac Jones does fit and is best value? As this Writer says, you don't have to get rid of JG now and i wouldn't either.

Or draft another QB that is good value after Round 1, but we have key spots to fill and lets fill it with 1st and 2nd round prospects.

Yes, there are concerns having JG looking behind his back, but if Green Bay and PHiladelphia can do it, so can we.

I think there is a big difference between JG and Watson but other than that you don't trade for any of the other QB's out there. To me they have to get an OT (assuming Williams leaves), a pass rusher, a CB, an OG and probably a Center. That is through Free agency and the Draft. They may also need a WR if Bourne leaves as well. I'm hoping they keep Williams the CB at least and maybe Moseley.

Yes, there are multiple spots to fill/upgrade and we want to fill it in the higher rounds. Simply put, we're not in a position to trade for Watson.

Value being equal i'm still for Edge followed closely by LT, and you can't get these guys drafting at the end of Round 3 and later. The Edge would need to be an every down player, else take the LT. The SB showed us two things, 1) how pressure is the only way to beat these top QB's; and 2) how important the LT spot is (Eric Fisher out).

Yes I agree but I think you may well be underestimating the value of the QB, the two teams with two of the best QB's in the NFL made the Super Bowl. If they move off Garoppolo's contract they probably have the money to bring back Williams.

I don't see us Drafting QB maybe at all anymore. We brought back Josh Rosen for a reason, and he's only 24. Mac Jones by comparison will be 23 when the NFL season starts. Rosen had 1st Round talent, but has not had much of a chance since the Cards decided to bring in a new coach and draft another 1st round QB the year after taking Rosen. We're honestly a great offense for him to thrive in if Jimmy doesn't take off or gets hurt again.

It would not be the 1st time our organization has taking a QB another team thought was broken and fixed them up into a Hall of Famer.

We have to address the defense with so many DB's hitting Free Agency or look to grab a Tackle if they don't go early, but Tackles lately tend to go much earlier than expected. I would not be surprised to see 2 or 3 go before we pick. That should mean one of the top DB's fall to us at the very least.
