Well I see the tallies are in and once again I was not voted to the SportsHoopla Hockey Board Hall Of Fame. Because of that I respectfully withdraw my name from next year's ballot. I know math so I can tell I'm not going to make the cut next year so just remove me and I'll go back to Rhode Island where my team of rookie video game programmers are working on the next big MMORPG using money obtained from government loans. I hate big government! For the record, I'm not saying I'm a hall of famer, but the voters can go fuck themselves.

I don't know how the fuck hedge funds manipulate markets or how to put a short in a call but I just made $2 g's by going on reddit three hours ago and selling off 3 minutes ago so that's how I plan to retire now.

It’s crazy how this is going down. You hit this right you literally can retire. Day trading is in boom times.

wouldn't reddit by now be absolutely full of every two-bit promoter trying to shill their stocks as "the next one"?
how do you separate the wheat from the chaff?

disclosure - i've been on maybe three reddit pages in my life

Wonk wonk stonks

I've got the value of what a GME share SHOULD be worth that says (at least) one of those mods cashed in hard, which is part of what sent it back down for a while.

I love how people are posting screenshots of their huge gains on $1m+ buy ins like they're somehow sticking it to the man. I'm sorry, but if you had a mil that you could potentially lose on a stock with shitty fundamentals, you're not fucking Robin Hood.

Its very reminiscent of jan 6 to me ... its the Wall Street insurrection lol ... complete with people posting their suspect actions on social media lol. They say they stuck it to the man and proudly bankrupted a hedge fund ... i say its a thinly veiled mass pump and dump :noidea:

Agreed.

I almost legitimately bought AMC a couple months ago figuring that movie theaters aren't going away entirely and they were best positioned to survive. I didn't because I figured they were going to fo file bankruptcy where I could buy for pennies under the assumption that they have enough assets to still provide SOME value to shareholders, kinda like what American Airlines did during their most recent bankruptcy.

Glad I didn't, because I would have cashed in during this rise not knowing anything about WSB until reading about it on CNBC because of GME and possibly ended up getting a call from the SEC.

To steal the social media phrase, the sec will literally “bring the receipts” lol

Personally I think Questrade made everybody sick of investing with mom and dad’s guy and listen to the anonymous dude on social media. That’s what those commercials were telling us to do, right? And then we get a cool condo?
