Not disappointed in the season at all. Surpassed the expecations I had. In the off season though would like them to get some speed at the wr spot and any defensive upgrades.
I don't see them putting a lot of money anywhere on O. I'd be inclined to bring the band back...would require resigning Higgins and Hodge. If a burner falls in their lap, though, great.

Have to say worked out for him, but he made some questionable calls IMO. He's getting crushed if Henne does not come up with the near first down (not his call for a Henne run pretty sure) and the Browns take it in to score.

But all props in the world to Henne.

Yep. And from what I recall they're in great shape with the cap & limited number of FAs this year. They've got great momentum heading into next season.
Wont have Jaguar money but should be one of a few teams who could bring in an elite FA and not need to dump their own guy or guys to do it.

Nine picks if what I just looked up. They should be fine minus FA losses?

The mock I looked at had them taking CB Patrick Surtain out of Alabama at #16.

I've seen other mocks with Surtain going as early as 12?
Pretty sure we pick in the 20s. we don't lose any longterm guys but did have some solid players on 1-year deals....like Goodson, Joseph, Johnson. Latter 2 can be decent backups if we are healthy in secondary. Higgins and Hodge, as well, and they might be the only guys on O we would care about.

Yep biggest needs are really at DL and LB. Actually secondary too. Greedy will be back but another solid DB would help. Delpit will be back. I think they just need some LB’s that can run in space and athletic. The LB core is decent and have potential but no burners.
Offensively, they have all the pieces and DPJ could be their depth threat. Would like to see them try to just get more speed...at least on defense. KC has burners all over the place, it’s crazy how much Mahomes is working with from a weapons standpoint

It will be interesting they do with the DL. Probably can bring Vernon back on a good deal possibly. They just need more depth but Billings will be active next year too

I think they have all their picks 1-6 and a couple extras in mid rounds. Gotta build up the defense, get a wide target for Baker. They will be fine
I'd be fine if they said everyone on O is coming back as is (assuming OBJ healthy). Need to resign Higgins and Hodge as only FAs.

Ward, Delpit and Harrison could be a solid start for the secondary. Agree cannot count on Greedy (and ,maybe Delpit, but who knows what they know). Hard to know what they want at the LB position. would think if they spend big money would be at LB or replacing Vernon at DE...then again, they might think another year in the NFL (and this offense) Phillips, Takitaki would be solid and bring back Goodson.

Have to say Mahomes really has a lot to work with, no doubt....thought announcers were giving rest of the O and Reid a disservice as much as they talked up the QB who was really just playing pitch and catch to mostly open guys.

I feel pretty confident Higgins will be back, he has a good connection with Baker. They just more speed, like their 4th and 5th WR’s. Of course they were missing OBJ but as far as that goes, Baker either just needs to learn how to play with him or I would like to see a trade for a defensive piece. There has to be some team in the market for him even after the injury or a couple mid round picks

Might need a different plan as I don't think Vernon is expected back until well into the season. If he'd take a 2 year deal for something like $10-12 mil I could see that...but need someone else, too.

I like Phillips and Takitaki looked good just a ton of young guys...got some playoff experience. I heard they could target that LB from Washington. Dude is a stuf and run a 4.4. They just need speed...a Devin White type

If they could get good value I'd move him but doubt they could coming off injury....I'd be inclined to see if he can improve with more time in the O like the rest of them seemed to....pretty sure we scored 30+ in 4 of his last 5 games (all wins).

would definitely love a gamewrecker at LB if they feel like they need someone like that. Takitaki did look better than I expected. wilson didn't impress though.

Whoops, meant the kid from ND.

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah

“His explosiveness is reflected by his 39-inch vertical, a 10-3 broad jump, and an equally impressive 20.4 mph on his GPS. Owusu-Koramoah also notched 42 pullups in off-season training and back squatted 555 pounds.”

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is the NFL's next star hybrid defender | PFN

But we will see as the draft gets closer and what their initial needs are after FA

will he still be there in the 20s when we pick? And would not shock me at all if they traded down for extra picks. Thinking him, a DE or DB is where they go.

I went out for a walk after Henne's interception. It felt like the playoff Chiefs of the old. Glad I was wrong!
