He's trash.

Damn good player. But there's something wrong with him. Look at the Celtics. Had a better run in the playoffs without him. First year in Boston- Celtics go to game 7 of the ECF. Second year- bounced out in the 2nd round by the Bucks & he played like complete shit in that series.

It's not often a team loses a player the caliber of Kyrie but doesn't skip a beat. That's exactly what the Celtics did. Speaks volumes of his total lack of leadership abilities.

Haha

I love that people mocked the Browns for Wentz and them having Baker

Sweet memories

No doubt about that. And while I have been one of the more vocal anti-Mayfield Browns fans gotta be honest. My opinion of him his changing. He's not the same jackass he was his first two years. Much more mature this year it seems. And his play on the field has improved greatly under Stephanski.

Ran across an artile today, wish I could remember where I saw it. But it was about our Browns and how the league should bend the rules a bit to allow Stephanski to coach on Sunday. You hear anything about this?
I've seen some articles about this. I mean, if they want to bend the rules, fine, but I get why they don't.

Only explanation I hear that make sense is Dolan wants to sell and he thinks the market favors a team early in a rebuild over a team near the end of a competitive run. Covid has already taken a toll and the uncertainty for how it affects 2021 revenue might have him worried. The logo change and hints at a future name change also might be based on making team more attractive to bidders.
Its a shame. Small market competitive windows are short enough.
This could make sense. Cannot undo what's done, but thought is if you really love the team why buy it without the will to win? If you are looking for year to year profit better way to go than to buy an MLB team.

He's still just 25. Hitting his stride in an offense suited for him

But I would take DeShaun lol

Yep....And Dipodesta was mocked for saying "didn't see him as a top 20 QB". Probably shouldn't have said that, but looks closer than those who said top 5 and HOFer.

Should have just said "we have so many holes to fill we couldn't see taking an injury risk from an FCS school."

Similar to Lance id be very gun shy to take a small school qb that high. I know there are examples of it working However.

Just let him coach from a booth.
Could but rules say not allowed. And NFL, NFLPA and medical professionals all put the rules together and other teams have had to follow them (true, not at playoff level). Hard to tell us guys with Covid need to stay home then have him walk through a stadium up to the booth.

But if they want to bend the rules have at it.

Guessing his attitude also a reflection of Stefanski...sounds like him in pressers.

It's looking like Stefanski was a very good hire. You never know what you're going to get with a guy who has only been an assistant but he's looking like the real deal. And he's putting Mayfield in a position to succeed.

True,

Freddie wasn't exactly the model for how to act.

I can't imagine Kitchens even gets a head coaching interview ever again

No they won’t.

And that is the 1 position teams don’t mind a big cap hit for a proven star.
True...but lately teams prefer to try to win when the QB is on his rookie deal. Would a team like NE give up the farm for him? I could see it as they have a lot of cap space and also probably not picking high enough to get their guy.

Would a team with a top 5 pick? Maybe if they had the cap space....but not if they really liked one of the rookies they thought they could get. Would Houston deal him without getting a top pick in return to get their guy? Not if they have a smart GM.

Getting an offer from someone definitely possible (even likely). One they'd accept I'm not so sure. Thought I guess if they are dumb enough that they feel it's a must to deal him....

I'd be shocked....maybe not even an OC. He might be OK as an interim with someone else's offense (like he was here with a lot of help). But if he has to design the O?

Got pick used on Conklin and other picks, right? Or did TN trade back up with us to get Conklin? Guessing the latter.
