Interesting trade. At least next year you won't be guessing who to start and it is sort of a luxury to have a QB like Dak on the bench. That being said I like this trade for Smoking Monkey. That first is going to be so late that it isn't that valuable and will worth the upgrade at QB. All though Dak has some question marks, like how he recovers from the injury and where is he going to play next season. Smoking Monkey is hoping it isn't for the Jets.

Yeah, its really gonna come down to just where the Cowboys end up drafting. Its entirely possible they, the Jags, and the Jets end up neck and neck for Lawrence, and Justin Fields is an attractive consultation prize. My guess is whichever of those three teams misses out on Lawrence or Fields, thats where Dak lands.
Outside shot with a NE or Chicago, extreme darkhorse of MINN, if they have an out on
Cousins contract, same with SF.
IF Dallas somehow finds themselves out of the "premier QB prospect" area, surely they'll keep him.
My pipe dream? Gilbert, the arena league stud, pulls some Willie Beamon magic, leads them to the division title, and a one and done, Prescott walks, and they rebuild the line through the draft

Well, I started feeling some seller remorse with the Henry/Zeke deal including the 1st in it. Monkey's a smart guy so he saw the value, regardless where Dak goes (although staying in DAL is the best case scenario - which I'm pretty sure happens - Jerry likes winning). Just figured I'd go all-in on Murray even though I played Dak over him most of the early season. ..... now it just depends on what I can get in the 1st to really gauge the deal overall. ..... heck I didn't even have a 1st last yr so regardless, it's nice to have one - if for nothing else than a higher level bargaining chip. ....

Confidence - if you can't have it in yourself, then it doesn't exist. .... (I just made that sh*t up but sounds kind of catchy). There are a few other teams that could get hot during playoffs. Crap, it's trending towards my gamble on Edmonds not working out as I hoped. ..... nothing ventured, nothing gained I guess. .... but if history means anything, Chubb coming back actually helps Hunt's outlook. Perhaps, he just needs Chubb to wear out the defense a bit to get going - we shall see.
