He's a moron. Now that's hilarious. Mo the journeyman (6 teams in 11 years) talkin' some trash. He don't got the playing resume to be saying stuff like that. Good for him though, it made me laugh.

Still, years ago some were put the Spurs organization at full fault and that isn't fair. Even in the Trent Williams case, there is almost always fault on both sides. Now it comes out Kawhi wants to take off games like he was in SA, not a very good role model for young players or your teammates. Lebron isn't doing that in his 17th year. He is far from the innocent guy perceived by everyone for years...he doesn't handle situations well. I wouldn't want to play with the guy but there is no doubt he is a beast on the court, when he is on the court.
We aren't going to hear the end of this CP3 to Lakers rumors until it happens lol
On behalf of all Lakers fans, especially the ones on this board, I'd like to apologize for that.
Unfortunately, we can't do anything about it. lol
Seems like every show I've listened to this morning has mentioned it.
On the bright side, you might hear less about how Gallinari was letting the Lakers know he wants to play for them because he sent a congrats tweet.
becuase it makes a lot of sense.
Most of the guys who would get traded are replaceable by street fas. Since they were those guys last year.
plus I bet d12 comes back for 3m.
you have the first rounder and at least one exception.
you guy picks for upperclassmen youth/depth.
Ring chaser options are out there
but you can sign someone as good as cp3 who fits your 2 year time frame
who is giving up money?
Paul has a contract for 2 years. Lakers will still have a version of the mle to add someone else.

LeBron is the best point guard in the NBA. And, with him playing point, the Lakers can really create matchup nightmares surrounding him with wing shooters.
Bring Rondo back, keep Green, pass on CP3. Invest in a couple more shooters and they will be good to go.
LeBron has always wanted to play with a high level point guard and CP3 is his boy.
But honestly he is wrong to want that.

Every word.
Not a knock on CP3. But he's old and injury prone. He'd be fantastic if he could stay healthy. But even then, as you point out, Lebron is the best PG in the league. Money would be better spent on shooters.
Rondo can be used the exact same way as CP3 and he is far from old. Not saying he is the same caliber player but he can be another captain/PG on the floor. Add shooters/scorers around them. No reason to fork your whole team for a 40M old, injury prone guy. The rest of the team other than the MLE is minimum guys and they lose all there other role playersi get your point, but a few counter points:
- save mileage on Lebron
- Paul is a shooter
- Paul is a damn good defender at the 1
they could replace quite a few of those guys with their first, mle and biannual, plus keep Howard for 3m
you have no money. You’re trading those guys no matter what.
No.
They could trade them for an upgrade at the wing. That would be a good investment.
Trading them for an overpaid PG whose role is diminished playing next to LeBron would make them significantly worse, IMO.
they can have like 5 of their top 7 players last year (per vorp) plus Paul. There’s no chance they are “significantly” worse. Especially when they have the 2 exceptions and a first rounder to play with to help the roster as well.
btw those top 5?
bron
Brow
D12
Kcp (opting out so not in a Paul trade)
Caruso
plus now add Paul, an mle player and a biannual player.
plus a few ring chasers like they got d12 this year.
Paul is a better defender and shooter Han Kuz and rondo.Man, you really got to step away from VORP.
It is like the only stat you use.
And yes, I think that team would be worse. Paul and LeBron have redundant skill sets. He is better than Rondo, but not by enough to offset losses of Green, KCP Kuzma and whoever else they give up.
Now, if the player the Lakers acquired had a more complimentary skill set, then it would be worth giving away all their depth. Using it to acquire a PG isn’t a good move when they already have LeBron and have to give up Rondo ++ to get it done.
