With SEC play starting tomorrow lets get this started.

How many games each conference plays, this COULD be a factor...

C-USA - 12 games
AMERICAN - 12 games
ACC - 11 games
BIG 12 - 11 games
SEC - 10 games
B1G - 8 games
PAC - 7 games

And go...

IMHO unless you play a minimum of 10 regular season games, you should not be eligible.

That's why the Pac12 is only playing 7 games. They'll be able to use "number of games played" as
the reason they didn't make the playoffs, again.

You want 4 SEC teams in the CFP...snoozer

Well, the SEC Schedule is setup to allow 3 in with 1 loss.....

Bama plays both LSU and Georgia

LSU and Georgia will only meet in the SEC Championship if they both win their divisions.

If Bama beats Georgia but loses to LSU, that would put LSU in the SEC Title game against GA if GA runs the table in their division.

Then if GA beats LSU in the title game then you will have 3 one loss SEC teams all beating each other.

We all know how much ESPN and the CFP love the SEC, so this is why i chose the 4 teams i did.

Georgia
Bama
LSU
Clemson

Yeah all true, the SEC schedule is daunting which could help the SEC but it could also hurt them.

LSU most likely takes a step back. I see LSU losing 2 games at least...they are basically missing their top 3 players bc opt outs.

Bama - A&M, Georgia, Tennessee , LSU, Auburn + possible SECCG
Georgia - Auburn, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida + possible SECCG
Auburn - Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, Alabama, A&M + possible SECCG
LSU - Florida, Auburn, Alabama, A&M + possible SECCG
Florida - Georgia, A&M, LSU, Georgia, Tennessee + possible SECCG

That isn't even counting possible upsets from teams with new coaches: Ole Miss - Kiffin, MSU - Leach...with their systems who knows. Kentucky..shit happens, especially in a shortened season.

I could see two teams getting in but even with a 8 game schedule, potentially 9 a B1G team will still go ahead of a 1 or 2 loss SEC team, same with Big 12. I could see Texas or Oklahoma possibly running the table as well as Wisconsin or Ohio State. Clemson or Notre Dame for ACC.

3 or 4 SEC teams isn't very likely imo.

I don't see the games played as being as much of a factor as everyone thinks.

Clemson, Ohio State, Alabama, Oklahoma. Nothing too original.

If they play any more they'll start to reach the point of the playoffs.

I think there is a possibility of 2 from the ACC and 2 from the SEC. Could see UGA/UF, Bama, Clemson, ND, but only if the B12 totally shits the bed, and they are off to a good start. I think the PAC is out, and the B1G needs an undefeated tOSU, which is likely. I think the most likely are:

Bama
UGA/UF winner
ND
Clemson
ND
tOSU

UCF will be a media darling, but I can't see ND losing except to Clemson, and that will shake that up.

Final answer:
SECC
Clemson
B12C\SEC2
tOSU
