When I watched a couple of innings of the Padres-Rangers series I really liked the San Diego announcers. They were quiet in between pitches. They talked baseball not walk up music. And they were not homers. If the Rangers pitcher threw a strike that the ump called a ball they would say so. That is what we need.

I read today that they expect to not see any trades until just before the deadline. I also read where Choo thinks he may be traded.

the FO doesn't have a great track record in drafts recently, wasting the #1 pick would be peak Rangers right now.

Walker was one of the three players that mlbtraderumors.com thought had a better chance to be traded than Lynn. Another one is the now injured Kela. The only one left to be traded that was ahead of Lynn is Dylan Bundy.

Does not sound like we are trading Lynn if we are beefing up the rotation. Still wondering if we will ever see a big bat. Personally Gallo is not at this time a reliable power bat. BA .190 has to improve. He is the difference in obtaining the number of big bats we need. At one time he and one more would suffice. Now I don't know. We will need two if Joey doesn't come around.

Acquired Walker from M's. He was a better chance to be traded than Lynn and since we got him I assumed we wanted more pitching. Probably read it wrong.
