Dak isn't taking a 4 year deal for just $33M per year now that they have increased the 5 year offer to $35M. Do you not know how negotiations work or are you under some delusions that Dak and his agent will take less when the Cowboys show they are willing to offer more?
The amount he's asking for has never been mentioned, just the amount of years on the deal. He only wants 4 years, because with a 5 year deal its possible he's could be 34 when he gets his next contract, he knows age could play a major roll in those contract offer. He's always said it's not the money, we all called that BS when he turned 35M, but then he talked about the age he could be after this deal.
He's looking at 5 years plus two possible Franchise Tags being 7 years before he's free to negotiate a deal with all teams.
Obviously your only speaking from what you've read here on the hoop, but I've been following this closely well over a year now.

With a 5 year deal it could be possible he could be 34 when he gets his next contract? What do you think he could potentially slip through a time warp in a 5 year deal and accidentally a couple more years during the course of the deal?

Why would he care ablut negotiating deals with other teams if he doesn't care ablut money? Your logic makes no sense.

You Cowboys fans were equally delusional about Zeke and then the Cowboys caved for him. They are either going to cave for Zeke before July 15th making him the highest paid player in the history of the league or they are going to watch as Mahomes then smashes the QB market and end up paying Dak even more on the inevitable deal next year.

Not true IMO because Dak playing on a one year $31M deal is fantastic for the Cowboys, but funny as Hell anyway...you win this round...:suds:

He knows that in 4 years the cap will jump a lot, he also knows that when he signs this deal, and 90% of the fans scream he's over paid, he knows that in 3 or 4 years hes going to be around the 10th highest paid QB, in 5 years he'd be about the 15th highest paid. If Dallas then FTs him twice he might never get another LTD.
And again as for Mahomes, if the cap drops he's going to wait a year before he resigns, remember he's still under his rookie deal through 21.

Which is why Dak is going to sign for more, not less, than what the Cowboys are currently offering. Cowboys completely butchered this entire contract situation by waiting until after Wentz and Goff and are going to end up paying way more than either of those two.

He should get more...he's better than both those two.

Those look like the top 5 QBs in the league to me. Nothing more important than performing against good teams. Wonder if RTK will agree now that his own cherry picked stats have again blown up in his face...I know...I know...it will be that QB rating is a meaningless stat :L

Or that PFF sucks, but only this situation as I’m sure he will use PFF to back up a future argument

other than Romo
actually Romo's 1st big deal. He told his agent not to fight so much & he just wanted to get to camp. He left plenty on the table the 1st go around.

Obviously they misspelled Carson Wentz. Isn't that right @RememberTheKoy

Wentz would have one of the highest ratings if his WRs could catch the ball last year. 3 highlight game winning/tying end game throws dropped last season. People would be losing their minds over his comeback abilities present day if his WRs could catch the ball last year.

And yet at least one QB on the list had more drops than Wentz.

Yeah show me the QB that had more drops at the biggest moments of games than Wentz. You can still overcome drops made during the course of the game (although 8-8 Dak didn't do that good enough last year) but its the drops that come at determining end game moments that cannot be overcome.

So all of Wentz drops were in big games, but none of Daks were?
Undeniable facts are Dak had 24 passes dropped, while Wince had 19. With 5 more dropped passes I'd say odds are Dak had at least as many passes dropped in big games. Hell I'd say if Daks recievers only dropped 19 passes the team would have been 10-6

actually looking at it right now.
Dak had 36 drops (led the league)
2. Brady 34
3. Josh Allen 31
4. Mayfield 30
5-9. Wentz, Trubisky, Fitzpatrick, Kyle Allen, Jimmy G 28
tied for 10th Goff & Dalton 27

So that would be 8 more dropped passes.
BTW in another conversation I had looked it up.
In their (Dak & wentz) losing games. Dak had 20 & Wentz had 12.
