Let me ask you this noon. What do you think Trubisky is given all the right circumstances you mentioned? Do you believe he's at the level of say a Deshaun Watson? Clearly you believe he's better than Foles.
Watson does not impress me. I don't know on Trubisky, I see flashes of what he could be. He also may bomb out. But to judge him on last years offense is not fair either.

But you can make excuses for any QB in any year. I could make a pretty compelling case for Jay Cutler and his revolving door of offensive coordinators.

But assuming all that is equal. How do you explain Trubisky's wild inaccuracies? Wide open guys and he doesn't come close to hitting those targets. That's just gauging his raw abilities and I don't believe you can fix inaccuracy (easily). Hindsight is 20/20 but every time Trubisky threw deep last year, i just rolled my eyes.

Let him move and create. Like Houston does for Watson. Trubisky is better on the move. You don't see Watson being forced to be a pocket passer. Also I would give him run support.

Watson throws from the pocket more than Mitch, I believe.

Mitch is already a serviceable QB. I don't know what he will end up being. We had the worst Oline, run game, and coaching in football last year, how could he succeed? He had 1 good WR and no TE. Mitch may be good or he may suck but there is no way too know with the shit he had to work with last season. I aint giving up until he gets a real shot and blows it. It's not a Ponder situation, Ponders ceiling was serviceable and Mitch's is huge. Were talking Bears all time great potential or what you call league average.

Then, why wasn't he good in 18?

The line was ranked average to just below average in most metrics. PFF had them 19th, I believe. Far from a disaster. Worst? Come on.

Anthony Miller was also a stud down the stretch.

You still cannot explain the constant misfires when there is a CLEAN pocket and open receiver.

We'll probably be able to run some sweet 2 pt conversions with 2 QBs on the field.

I think more than anything, this is why I've soured on Trubisky. He simply isn't an accurate passer, even when there's little or no pressure. He has other detriments, such as failing to work thru his reads, but the accuracy is his big problem and where he continues to struggle.

And I don't know how coachable "field processing" is. You can do certain things to try and make a QB more comfortable out there. However, there's a cap on what you can really do. He's seen enough game, at this point. 41 games at the position is a lot of NFL experience.

There's really just no amount of "supporting cast" excuses that can explain away Mitch's biggest problems.

THAT'S the thing. My main concerns over Mitch have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with "well, they called the wrong play" or "people didn't get open". My concerns are TOTALLY separate from and unimpacted by supporting cast/play calling.

My concerns almost AAAALLLLL stem from when the right play WAS called and people DID get open. If Mitch was hitting on those plays, while the offense sputtered and he posted these SAME numbers. That's fine. I can get behind Mitch having another shot.

The issue is that a HUUUUGGE reason the offense sputters? Is because he either A) Does not see the receivers on these plays. B) Sees them and makes a throw which gives them ZERO shot.

Mitch has demonstrated NOTHING which leads me to believe that he would make the necessary plays. Even in a perfect offense. How can we believe that any type of play calling or supporting cast would fix him? He doesn't even make the plays that ARE there.

I don't know what possibly could be a counter to this point. Outside of "he needs more time". Which, you can get out of here with, IMO. School is out. It's time to play.

Trubisky is more accurate on the run but yes his deep passing was really bad last year. He was drafted because he was deadly accurate. Atleast that was said at draft time. Everyone cry's that all we need is a average QB with this defense. I believe we have that and more in Trubisky. Fix the offense and call plays that fit what Trubisky is good at.

You tell me some thing. What do you think Watson and Mahommes would do here in Trubisky's shoe's. And would Trubisky be a star now if KC drafted him.

I'm a Bears fan and a Trubs supporter. But Bear fan first. I'll cheer who ever is behind center. Except Orton, I'm a sexy rexy guy. FK Orton.

Mahomes? This question is f*cking horrendous. I sympathize for anyone who actually fields this POS.

And wtf you LMFAO'ing at Foles for? The only reason Foles is on this team is because Biscuit is a f*ckup. A season and a half of pure utter bullsh*t on offense. And guess what? The coach/GM threw in the towel and got an "average" quarterback because Trubisky isn't even that.

Because of Trubisky, instead of filling out roster spots with quality depth and signings, we devoted money to Foles instead, possibly costing us that "extra inch" that other teams may find when the going gets tough. The dude has already cost us heavily in the 2020 offseason for the upcoming season. If our coach/gm can figure this out, I'm not sure how you can't.

WTF? The reason Foles was needed was because every team needs a back up QB, wtf are you even babbling about. Have you always been this stupid and I just never noticed? Foles is here because Chase could not do his job. If or when we replace Trubisky we will spend more or use a high draft pick to replace a starter. Foles is not a starter duh.

The question was fair to ask and a good question. You're just not man enough to answer it, or bright enough.

Yeah....if only Nagy knew how to make Trubisky not overthrow...underthrow...and just generally miss his receivers.

Damn Nagy.
He has made some bad throws and some great throws. But let's only remember the bad ones. It was like 10 pct of his throws.
