Gallup is a pretty reliable poll service, no? This isn’t like the Rasmussen ones he usually cites.

We all know his supporters are going to support him no matter what. That’s established. What isn’t established is whether those supporters will get off the couches in their double wides and get to the polls. If he can rile them up enough to do that it could swing the balance especially since the Bernie nut jobs are already looking for excuses to stay home again in November if their lord and saviour doesn’t win the nom.

That's why I think this Iowa debacle matters as much as it does, if people think the system is rigged, it's not too much of a leap to get to "my vote doesn't matter" and then people decide not to vote. A low voter turnout is exactly what Trump needs to get a second term.

And at the end of the day it is a survey of people with land lines that answer them.
Gallup includes cellphones in each national Gallup poll. Gallup has been including cellphone-only households in all national telephone Gallup polls since January 2008. Further, cellphone-only households are now as likely to fall into national Gallup polls samples as those living in traditional landline households.

Sanders supporters are convinced Monday was a screw job by the mayor of South Bend, Indiana, so...yeah. This is definitely a thing that is happening.

Fair enough, but the fact remains that they can only get answers from people who answer their phones.

I have 16 unanswered calls in my list in the last 2 weeks. Mrs 43 and the kids also never answer calls from numbers not in their address book.

Grain of salt encouraged is all.

I still have my land line, when the zombies knock down all the cell towers, I'll still be able to call in to the post-game Flames radio show to air my grievances.

I stopped answering numbers not in my phone book. I picked up one pollster during the election last fall by mistake, told them I was voting for the black face guy and hung up.

In my case, it's because of my wife's parents. Let's just say they aren't the most technologically savvy (heck, we finally got them a cell phone a couple of years ago), but they rarely use it. They prefer the land line.

Sounds like my parents. They both have cell phones but they tend to either leave them at home or in the glove box. My dad puts his phone in the glove box in the first place because he thinks that's the only way not to get a ticket for using his phone in the car.

I think my mother is the only actual caller to use my landline number. The rest are sales-calls. I do like to keep that number to give to businesses that request my number. So far 99% of my cellphone calls are real callers.

My parents have no internet, have a Comcast land line, and only use Verizon flip phones from my brother's account, no data. At least we got my mom to use texting, including photos.

This is all great in a world without politics.

Impeachment was a bad idea. I honestly don’t get why people are still trying to play the morality card when the other team gave that shit up 20 years ago.

It has nothing really to do with morality.

If those house members had the facts of Trump's misdeeds re. Ukraine come across their desk and chose not to do anything, they would be in dereliction of their duties. Simply doing your job is not a measure of morality it's a measure of responsibility.
