And like always.
All your shit is based on 'ifs'. Not real life and shit that actually happens.

Only problem is they make it up as they go. Sometimes they look at won-loss, sometimes they don't. CCG winners? Maybe, maybe not.The 'best' team doesn't always win. This is a fact. Really applies to any sport.
Our current system doesn't pretend to care about only one particular game or only look at head to head. I get that is a problem for some of you. Their goal is to try and look past win/loss to pick their worthy teams. It's never going to please everyone.
If you are talking to me I am refuting your notion we have de facto playoff games this weekend as you claim. Might the winners advance? Yep, but so might the losers and the winners might not advance. And like always.

Well said. I would discuss a couple points...No good solution to this issue. Everyone wants their opinion to be the correct one, including myself. Both sides of this topic have good points and makes for enjoyable reading. An opinion is just that, an opinion and not fact. My opinion, which I already no will be deemed wrong is as follows,
- How can a team be deemed the National Champion if they can't win there own conference, let alone the division they play in. Win your damn division and conference and you are in. No greater motivation than this.
- Conference championship games are or atleast should be the defacto first round of an expanded playoff.
- Yes, all conference's are not created equal, but that should not mean that if you play in the G5, the conference winner should not get a chance to prove themselves against other conference champs. If the P5 is so much tougher than the G5, why do teams consistently make it out with 0-1 loss in conference play. Not enough data on the out of conference play to determine conference strength.
- Too any people base their opinion off of how good the team is by the name on the jersey/school vs. the on field results. Make excuses for losses and why the team they support should get a second chance i.e. backdoor into the playoffs without a conference championship.
- All games matter, according to the people who don't want expansion and automatic bids, but yet 2 teams playing today can lose and still get into the playoffs.
- Teams might sit players if they are already guaranteed to play in conference championship. They do this already when they have huge leads on teams. I find it hard to believe that Nick Saban and other great coaches would take a chance on a loss. There competitive nature and ego's would keep it to a min. Scheduling tweaks could also make this difficult for teams to do. Back end of schedules loaded with the stiffer competition.
- The 10-3 conference champs don't deserve a chance argument. Just maybe there schedule was more challenging than your teams. They overcame the losses and won their conference. It would be more of a rarity this happens than the norm. So what if it does happen though.
- Too many games for the athletes arguement. High school teams in Ohio end up playing 15 games in order to be state champions. Somehow 1-2 more games for College aged young men is too much?
- In the end, it all will works itself out. The team that wins the conference champ playoff model would have proven itself on the field.
- No matter what direction college football goes in the future, I am still going to watch and support my school.
They aren't "making it up as they go". When you aren't going to go blindly on only win/loss you have the freedom to take everything into account. Some cases a ccg winner makes a big difference. Other times a head to head mattered more. Maybe an impressive win still lingers in the mind, or a bad loss at some point is what drags you down.Only problem is they make it up as they go. Exactly. No rules. Blindly as they go. Unlike you, I don't "need" anything. They aren't "making it up as they go". There are no hard if/then rules. I know some of you need that, but those do more to limit logic than clarify it.
What do I need?Exactly. No rules. Blindly as they go. Unlike you, I don't "need" anything.
You "need" things exactly as they are or, as you said, CFB will be ruined. What do I need?
Blindly to you is freedom to others. Sorry if those words bother you. Truth can be hard to swallow for some.
No, that's not true in any way. But you keep on projecting things and putting words in mouths. It's something you have done quite a bit in this thread. You "need" things exactly as they are or, as you said, CFB will be ruined.
You are the most wishy washy poster I've ever seen. Congrats. You are for things you are also against. Would stick with things, but want it changed, or meh.why would I be bothered by words I used? You are really outdoing yourself today. Well done? And here's a flash...it isn't mutually exclusive. They could be choosing blindly and freely.

You have claimed sport will be ruined, along with others. Nothing was made up.No, that's not true in any way. But you keep on projecting things and putting words in mouths. It's something you have done quite a bit in this thread.
I have offered up a dozen things I'd change. To you, not wanting one particular change is the same as 'needing' things to stay the same and not liking any/all change.
Wake the fuck up already.
You are the most wishy washy poster I've ever seen. Congrats. You are for things you are also against. Would stick with things, but want it changed, or meh.
The committee system isn't perfect. No one has claimed otherwise. It isn't without controversy, nor will everyone agree on the outcome on any given season. Expanding to 8 won't change that and going to auto bids on imbalanced schedules is just dumb. Those too can all be right at the same time. You can not think things are perfect and not go along with knee jerk bad ideas as well.
Sometimes the logical choice between a and b exists outside of narrow rules. How is that not obvious? You just explained making it up as they go. Also, how do hard rules limit logic?
OK....so make it up as they go?Sometimes the logical choice between a and b exists outside of narrow rules. How is that not obvious?![]()

You said:You have claimed sport will be ruined, along with others. Nothing was made up.
Show me where I've said that. You "need" things exactly as they are
There isn't a thing you just stated that I actually said. Once again you are more about putting words in others mouths or grossly mischaracterizing what actually was said.By your "logic" I need to cry if I don't get my way? That's the better way to go? I cannot prefer something and not get bent out of shape if I don't get it? sounds childish, but OK.
We had computer models in the BCS that attempted to make everything down to if/then. It wasn't any better than the polls and was so not trusted that they had to add in human polls to balance it. They were quite deep in their structure. If you cannot invent a rule to favor a logical choice, what makes it a logical choice?
I'd love to see the P5's conf commissioners get together and agree to a lottery system for at least 1, if not 2 OOC slots to distribute and balance non con games.I would love to see something done about strength of schedule. SO far based on strength of schedule Clemson does not deserve to be anywhere near the playoffs.
You needing things as they are was in regard to plan for the CFP. And, yes, you said if it goes to 8 the sport is ruined. You said:
Show me where I've said that.
I've said I'd get rid of independents, go back to balanced schedules, work on officiating as a very high priority which also means looking at rules in place that often can't be enforced the same because of wording, and others.
You are 1000% wrong that I 'need' things to remain the same. I'd very much prefer they don't fuck it up the way some of you are for. That's not the same thing at all.
Again, wake the fuck up.
There isn't a thing you just stated that I actually said. Once again you are more about putting words in others mouths or grossly mischaracterizing what actually was said.
For fucks sake.
