Again, if Oregon scheduled Wyoming instead and still lost to Az State they would not be getting in over Oklahoma or Baylor even.

Why? An ASU loss is better than losing to Kansas State.

Ohio St got in as a non conference champion several years back because they beat OU. Even Urban Meyer said we probably don't get in without that OU win.
Osu didnt get in over a 1 loss team. They got in because PSU and OU had 2 losses

lol. Okay. If you think so.

Nonetheless there is a notable difference in SOS and in quality wins.

Wisky didnt win the B10 though. Im speaking to "all things equal but ooc" example like wed have this year if Oregon was 12-1

We never have “all things being equal”.

I definitely believe the Committee gives CFP preference to 1 or fewer losses over anything else. In that sense they definitely penalize losses more than reward wins.

Why? K-State is 8-4. Arizona State is 7-5.

ASU would easily beat Kansas State. They aren’t even in the same realm of a loss. But Oklahoma deserves a playoff spot regardless if Georgia beats LSU.

Why? Because you say so? K-State has a better overall record and a better conference record than ASU. Plus, they beat OU, they beat Iowa State, they won @ Miss. State. They are 5-4 in the Big Xii. There is no empirical evidence showing that K-State is not in the same realm with Arizona State, or that the Sun Devils would easily beat the Wildcats.

Hmm, eye test in here is saying Oklahoma deserves it over because Kansas State has a fluke victory over OU. There is no way we will find out but Vegas would put ASU as at least a 6 point favorite.

Maybe but highly unlikely. A 1 loss SEC champ with wins over Florida, Auburn and LSU is getting in no matter who they lose to imo

Could be right. The system encourages teams to schedule not to lose.

USC is not ranked and Oklahoma would’ve jumped Utah with a win today.

Actually, USC is #22 in the CFP rankings, #24 in both the AP & coaches' polls.

Read the fucking thread, dunce.

And who in Christ name gives a fuck about the AP and coaches polls? You really are the worst.

How do you know that Arizona State would be a 6 point favorite over K-State? Do you have a link for that, or is that your line of work? Either way, I am just saying that Oklahoma's fluke loss @ K-State is no worse than Oregon's fluke loss @ ASU.

No eye test by me. The Big Xii is as good and as deep as the Pac. K-State has a similar OOC (3-0) record with both teams beating a (6-6) P5 team on the road, and both have a big fluke win in Conference. They are very similar teams. Only difference is that K-State has 1 more win.

Actually, I believe that is backwards....if you don't believe me, the Vegas lines usually follow this pretty close when it's the P5 schools. KSU is 24, ASU is 39 and the ratings are about 6 points in KSUs favor
