Yeah...WR group will be just as good/better next year. QB, obviously. RB, Teague looks capable of replacing Dobbins without much drop off. OL, as good/better. DL, losing Young will hurt, but hopefully Harrison becomes the next household name. Other losses there, too, but we rotate enough that we should be ok. LB, as good/better. Secondary, probably the biggest drop off, but we've recruited well.
agree with this other than not being as sure about Teague as a capable replacement to dobbins as you are. Seondary could be a big issue as well......but have to assume we have studs in the pipeline.

LOL I have a feeling the post-Urban years at OSU are going to make your anguish spiral hit new depths.
Always thought losing Tress and bringing in Meyer made us better than we were. Never thought the same could happen when Meyer left. still cannot be sure it did longterm but so far seems like we might be better off with the staff Day has assembled and his not relying on his cronies.

So they were freshman for 3 years? That's why they couldn't win double digits games in any of Zook's seasons? As long as you believe that that's all that really matters.
well, I was a senior there for 2 years so maybe?

Gotta love all the "They win because they cheat" crowd over at MgoBlob.

Justin Fields transfers from Georgia because Ohio State bought and paid for him. He should have to sit out.

Shea Patterson transferred from Mississippi because his coach "lied to him" so he shouldn't have to sit out. This program he transferred from is on probation for paying players, but the 5 star QB that went there was the only one who was clean as the driven snow.

Rashan Gary allegedly turned down 6 figures from Clemson to come to Michigan to play for free.

Michigan gets invited every year to the "Clean Program Bowl" but the problem is, no other team is qualified.

Give me a flipping break.

I like that - good work.

The SEC has Bama and the B1G has OSUx. Cutting corners to win completely betrays the very premise of higher education. The baboons can fawn over a shiny trophy while the truly accomplished revel in only their own competence.

Yeah, it made me cringe a little when I saw that. I've been told directly from former players that everyone knew how to get things as a football player. Like jobs at local business and such. Honestly, I think OSU is just doing it better and more blatantly because the NCAA has given up on a lot of it. I'd wager there isn't a major program who isn't secretly either outright breaking and/or really skating the line of NCAA violations.

But I did get some of the point of the argument. Because Michigan has this mindset, you'll never see us offer a student and have him only attend online classes. The top people at the school wouldn't allow that look, while perfectly legal. We're dying on that mountain and the talent gap is widening.

Do you know this? Nobody would have known if Fields didn't say it. You don't have online courses at michigan?

I used to feel that way about online classes. Then I watched 2 sons and a daughter in law earn MBA's online at 2 different schools. They worked their asses off.

No, all Michigan football players are mensa-level magna cum laude scholars. That 9 on the wonderlick test Rashan Gary posted was just because he was having a bad day.

OSU is simply more talented on both sides of the ball. And as much as sucks to admit — it isn’t changing any time soon. I just read something today — In the 2020 class, the highest ranked recruit for UM next year, would be the 9th highest ranked recruit for OSU in 2020.

That is the difference between a top 12-15 class and a top 5 class.
Bigger isn't better, better is better. tOSU just happens to have mastered both.

Well worth the listen:

Mike Valenti's Opening Monologue After Michigan Loss To Ohio State - The Valenti Show - Omny.fm

“I’ll bet you all touched your balls when Harbaugh was announced as coach”.

"Good thing Bo's Dead because the the last two years would've killed him."

“you’re their bitch and the only thing that’s left is for them to put lipstick on you next year”

"Your narrative protects you from what really happened Saturday. And what is real? Your coach is not special."

Just watched the game again and I have to say...Michigan is a poorly coached team. Total suckage and I can't help to think that the suckage starts at the top with HC.

No I didn't know it. There's online courses at Michigan but I know for a fact you can't obtain an undergrad degree from Michigan without coming to campus for the majority of your classes. They just recently announced a few masters degree programs you can obtain through online courses but that's about it.

I'm mostly saying OSU is genius for doing it. Here kid, come to school here and you don't actually have to go to class. "you" have to log in a few times a week and do these online courses. And I guarantee he has help with even those. I respect the hustle in that. And fuck it at this point, I want Michigan to do the same shit. We've come close by hiring kid's parents to the athletic department but nothing that basically gets a kid out of almost all school commitments.

They can be tough. There are certainly some online courses, through some schools that could be really challenging. But you and I both know that an undergrad degree, probably in something like general studies, and likely with the help of "tutors" through OSU, wouldn't likely be a huge commitment for anyone at all. He doesn't have to go to class. Who knows what these online courses require in terms of participation. It's genius if you ask me. I'm not shitting on it really. You got the #1 player in the country and probably the only reason you kicked our ass. Without him, OSU's backup certainly wasn't going to do that.

Michigan also did what every other team that played Ohio State this season....LOST.

Poor coaching IMO, HC didn't get the players ready for the big game. Disappointing to say the least. Time for a change.
