Some people have skills that are extremely hard to find and when a company can sign them on, they usually have a contract in mind to prevent that person from leaving prematurly. The problem usually comes when that person either starts to be taken advantage of or his skills become even more in demand from much better companies. The really good companies start out with a moving and real estate package to whet your whistle.
Those contrctsoften have a 'non-compete' clause that prevent the person from doing the exact same job for 2-5 years. The guys that can think ahead will not sign any restricted contract. The company will most likely back away if the person is critical enough.
Good lawyers can often eat a non-compete for breakfast. They can easily be spun as anti-competitive, but some can hold up too.

Ryan Allen who???

Jake Bailey and the special teams are killing it.

13 punts so far this season. 9 inside the 20(70%) for a grand total of 5 return yards.

Fair to wonder how much Bailey is impacting the problems with the placekicking operation, though.

That's a disgrace... 13 punts this year?

They've been watching Bailey's placements and he's been pretty much spot n. Ghost is shanking most of his misses which means he's pushing his foot too much to the right as he connects. It's almost like Bob Stanley's sinker which went up and then down to the right. Righties couldn't catch up to it and usually pounded it into the ground and lefties just couldn't hit it.

Maybe you can explain the rake.

I can't explain anything about kicking. I've been listening and reading about his woes.

Personally, I think he got a bit freaked when they let Allen go. The holder can often help the kicker but I don't think that they can severely screw them up.

I would have to guess that they've practiced at least 500 FG with Cardona snapping on the practice field. By now, Bailey knows exactly how Ghost wants the ball and my guess is that he tries to be exactly the same every snap.

On the other hand, Gostkowski missed a few last year with Allen holding.

If I had to put my money on anything, I'd say that Gostkowski has a the problem and he's constantly trying to over correct the last fluff. Vinitieri is having a horrible year too. Maybe it's a foot virus.

No, You were explaining Bob Stanley's sinker ball, I was hoping you could explain why he would take a rake to every beach ball that came his way.
