Shouldn't they use him some this year to get some experience?

Always liked Eli. He never had that "douche" gene like his brother.

But he should announced his retirement towards the end of last season. He would have a had a mini goodbye tour
and got the send off he deserved.

He would have taken control of his own fate ....now his fate is controlling him.

oh definitely... I am not opposed to them playing him this season... But wait a couple weeks for the team to be out of it... Why put unnecessary pressure on the rookie??

if you thought he was the better option, then you should have started him on game 1...

or at least do it like Cleveland last year, start Eli, and when he is having a terrible game take him out during the game...

im with ya on this. let him sit a few more weeks to get acclimated. but then again, what do they have to lose? more games? pats threw bledsoe out there at 21 to learn the hard way. he ended up ok.

its the pressure... you put him in in week 3, and the team is still in the playoff chase... and this is not a good team... don't put the failure of this team on him....

2 schools of thought. he learns to play with pressure, now. see what he has. or, not.

I can see it both ways. Go ahead and get him some reps but make it clear that he's not in there to do anything other than learn this year. Yeah he's going to get beat up behind that line, and that's a risk, but you're going to get hit sooner or later in the NFL.

It's not like Eli is going to do any better. I get that they want to show loyalty to the guy, but he's done. Maybe Pittsburgh or Miami is interested in taking a flier on him, or see if the Jets want him

RIP Pat

Last time this was tried Eli went from being the most hated to the most wrongly persecuted player over night and whoever that molester looking guy was lost his job.

It's time. Eli has had one helluva career. One that many would love to have. However, Father Time is undefeated. Hopefully, Daniel Jones is the next one in line to succeed.
