no Browns/Raiders bet? huh?

cmon slugger.

That is heavily weighted in your favor....the Browns are expected to win 9 games I think.....the Raiders 4 or 5 I think.....you always want to offer the sucker bet.

In today's NBA, it's not about feeding the post. It's about movement and positionless basketball.

If the Lakers offense is about feeding AD in the post rather than getting the ball to him while he's moving, then they wouldn't be using him correctly.

Then that's not really making AD the primary option, though, is it? And when has Lebron played movement ball? He is a ball dominate player. He can't just switch his style of play after 16 years of play.

I think he realizes he is closer to the end of his career and is fine with being the facilitator and #2 option (something not all aging stars can figure out). We all know he'd be getting the ball with the game on the line.

I agree. I think he realizes what he should do but a 16 year career of playing a certain style is a hard habit to break.

Everything being said is true but make no mistake.....Lebron's gonna do what he wants. will he defer more to AD? We'll see.

I agree. End of the day, Lebron will be running the offense. But when he says he wants AD to be the focal point, I think he's talking about scoring options. So, if folks think that the ball will be in his hands a lot less, that's not likely to happen.

As I posted earlier, Lebron's game has always been more like Magic's. He can score whenever he wants, but he's more interested in setting up his teammates.

Looking to facilitate more and score less should help keep him rested as well.

But, it's one thing to say that it's what you want to do. But actually doing it when the games are real can be another story.

He's also never played with a big like AD. Bosh and Love were both good, but AD is better overall than they were and both were #3 options.

It's definitely going to be interesting to see how it all works.

The thing is, you can be ball dominant and still have others as the #1 scoring option.

Magic was ball dominant, but he wasn't the Lakers #1 scoring option as opposed to Kobe, who was also ball dominant and the #1 scoring option.

So, is the ball going to be in Lebron's hands less? Not likely.

But will Lebron take fewer shots? Maybe. At least that's what I think he's alluding to when he says he wants AD to be the focal point.

could definitely happen. Kyrie took more shots his last year in Cleveland. Then again, he was ball dominant.

Yeah, based on what he said and how he has played most of his career. I think that in his mind as far as how the scoring options would would work, it would look something like...

1. AD
2. Kuzma
3. Lebron

But it would be Lebron with the ball in his hands and deciding which option they're going with.

Late in close games though...I expect that order will change. lol

I would be shocked if Kuzma scored more (or got more shots). I still think Lebron scores more than AD.

That's why I like the move by Vogel to call Lebron the point guard. Lebron can bring up the ball and have ball in his hands for periods of time when the offense isn't set up yet with hopes that this will satisfy his need to have a certain amount of control of the ball leaving him content enough to defer to AD when it counts. I think if the team is successful then that will motivate Lebron to defer to AD but, if not then I can see Lebron reverting back to his old ways.

I think Durant knew what @msgkings322 has stated on this site, the Warriors wanted to move forward with their implementation of the "Spurs Model" which Durant does not fit into so he had to leave or else he would he be in the way. Trading for DLo was better anyway, it added way more flexibility. Good riddance to Durant, the Warriors are strong than ever. DLo rocks, Klay has a brand new knee, Curry's extra mileage just means he has more veteran experience, Dray regressing gives others players opportunities to shine. How can anybody be less than optimistic about this Warriors team, I know I'm stoked.

Yeah, it'l be interesting. Lebron's game has always favored Magic more than MJ or Kobe, so I could definitely see him wanting to feed AD more than try to score himself.

Lowering the amount of scoring he has to do should help in getting to the playoffs rested and healthy.

Plus, like you said, we know who's going to have the ball late in close games. So, it should help there too.

Nailed it.

I dont know exactly what LeBron is talking about, but I am confident in saying that LeBron will continue to dominate the ball as he always as. That is not changing.

The LeBron Stanky Leg Offense where he dribbles down the shot clock down while at the top of the 3 pt line and makes a move after everyone gets sick of moving after having done it all game will be alive and healthy.

ROFL...Yeah, I don't see it changing except maybe for the first 2 weeks of the season. You can't teach an old dog new tricks.

and its not like Davis is going to control the offense from the post- its an impossibility.

the Lakers have no real point guards that you want to have the ball a lot. Davis cant control the game from the post.

its going to be LeBron, LeBron and more LeBron contorlling the game as he always has.

If they had a legit point guard that might be different.

While, it would not surprise me if LeBron and Davis were very close in the points scored category, LeBron is going to do the same as he always has--- dominate hte ball.

and as long as he is still one of the best players in the league- he should.
