Yes.

At least in Washington’s case.

Hire GMs/coaches who are semi-competent
Tribe probably couldn't do much better. anything else?

all seriousness, even though I'm not a fan of the owner and the idea he cut salary in a contending season their biggest issue is the Twins got good.

According to the President, they are going to hire someone with actual AD experience. That would be nice.

I'm just praying that she doesn't hire Mark Jackson (Villanova's AD). He's the reason they hired Sarkisian instead of Chris Peterson.
Always said if Meyer left Peterson was my first choice.

Guess we gotta give day a chance.

Awful news Cavs (or NBA) fans per Jason Lloyd....

Devastating news. Fred McLeod, the Cavs’ incredibly popular play by play man, has died, the team announced. Fred was a terrific man, an incredibly hard worker and a model ambassador for the team. He loved his wife Beth, his kids, golf and the Cavs. He will be missed dearly.

Just saw it. Had to double check. Saw LBJ quote a tweet that included RIP. Couldn't believe it

Dear god.....Peterson was about as a sure thing to translate to Power 5 success that you were going to get after his Boise tenure. USC would look a lot different right now that's for sure.

Yeah, I remember when USC interviewed him. The story was that both sides decided that USC wasn't a good fit for Peterson. Most folks assumed it was because he didn't want to be in a big city, which was why he had stayed in Boise for so long.

I'm not sure exactly what Mark Jackson's role was in the whole thing, but the report yesterday was that he was the one who pushed for the Sarkisian hire.

LOL...Not gonna happen.
I think he realizes he is closer to the end of his career and is fine with being the facilitator and #2 option (something not all aging stars can figure out). We all know he'd be getting the ball with the game on the line.

Kobe, Timmy and KG all get in for sure.

Bosh will be interesting. He mainly played in obscurity until he went to the Heat. But a lot of folks didn't grasp that he accepted the #3 option role and sacrificed numbers for rings while in Miami. Some folks counted that against him.

Then, when he had a chance to show what he could do in a bigger role, he suffered a career ending illness.

He should get in on this ballot, but might have to wait a year or 2.

I think Durant knew what @msgkings322 has stated on this site, the Warriors wanted to move forward with their implementation of the "Spurs Model" which Durant does not fit into so he had to leave or else he would he be in the way. Trading for DLo was better anyway, it added way more flexibility. Good riddance to Durant, the Warriors are strong than ever. DLo rocks, Klay has a brand new knee, Curry's extra mileage just means he has more veteran experience, Dray regressing gives others players opportunities to shine. How can anybody be less than optimistic about this Warriors team, I know I'm stoked.

Yeah, it'l be interesting. Lebron's game has always favored Magic more than MJ or Kobe, so I could definitely see him wanting to feed AD more than try to score himself.

Lowering the amount of scoring he has to do should help in getting to the playoffs rested and healthy.

Plus, like you said, we know who's going to have the ball late in close games. So, it should help there too.

I don't see it happening. He had Love and Bosh who liked to play the post but didn't feed the post often. Lebron isn't a player who likes to feed the post and wait for the ball to rotate to him and jack up a three. This is a far greater divergence from his preferred style of play that Lebron will have a really difficult time adhering to it.

In today's NBA, it's not about feeding the post. It's about movement and positionless basketball.

If the Lakers offense is about feeding AD in the post rather than getting the ball to him while he's moving, then they wouldn't be using him correctly.

Everything being said is true but make no mistake.....Lebron's gonna do what he wants. will he defer more to AD? We'll see.
