kinda was wondering since he facepalmed my post...

Laughlin's a great escape from the overcrowding of Lost Wages. But now I wanna know if he's ever been there. If he hasn't, well that makes his comment very odd.

huh...

something wrong with Laughlin, Barticus...?

seems you obviously disagree...

Why would you go to Vegas and waste your time visiting a vastly inferior Vegas? There is nothing to see there unless getting shot up by biker is your thing.

Laughlin has never tried to be a copy of Vegas.

What’s good about that place?

I already said it's a nice escape from crowded Vegas. It's right on the Colorado River. I liked getting outta Vegas & going down there when I lived in the desert.

Now. Have you ever stepped foot in Laughlin?

I stopped by briefly, looked like a shithole but that was probably 20 plus years ago. Had plenty of friends go there and none of them liked it.

I can understand that you visited Laughlin because you lived in the desert with no good options for fun but some with limited time on vacation shouldn’t waste money and time in that dive when there is so much to see in Vegas.

Anyway living in the desert sounds horrible if that’s all your options.

So you stopped through for a minute 20 years ago. In other words you know nothing about the town. You really think the place is the same today as it was then? And to use the word "shithole" to describe a place you know nothing about makes you look very ignorant.

I went down to Laughlin multiple times to get away from Vegas & visit friends. Why am I not surprised you have no idea what you're talking about? Nothing new from you though.

One more thing. Living in the desert isn't an awful thing if you can appreciate the desert landscape & the surronding mountains. And for anyone w/ disc, nerve or arthritic issues the drier climate is great.

Oh yeah. You mentioned that I lived in the desert w/ no good options for fun. I lived in the Vegas area. Had no good options. Like I said you have no idea what you're talking about.

I can't imagine living in Vegas. I would be sick of it within a month I imagine, although I imagine suburbs are suburbs, regardless of where you live. The only positive would be that they do have pro sports and draw a lot of touring bands. The whole casino thing is not my cup of tea though. Desert life would be tough with my English/Irish complexion; I might vaporize.

I told you I have had friends visit there too. They didn’t have a kind word to say about it. Why would I revisit a place that no one recommends because a desert rat on an anonymous forum who obviously has no life gives it a thumbs up. Vegas is fun because it’s lively with huge and glamorous hotels. Why would you want to go from that to visiting a cesspool by the river? Because it has gambling too and isn’t so hectic? Why don’t I just go down to San Diego and spend a day at the animal shelter while I’m visiting the zoo down there, it’s less hectic and has animals too. Boy, your life must be one big yawn when you lived in the desert if visiting a shithole was the hightlight of your weekend.

I lived just outside Vegas. I liked it & will move back at some point. I wasn't a gambler or a fan of casinos in general when I was out there. Although I would go to the local casino sportsbook on various Sundays to watch multiple live games at the same time. Same on Saturdays for CFB. My favorite time of the year out there sports wise is March Madness.

The live music is great, obviously. But I would check the smaller local casinos for free live music.

Plenty of things to do out there that don't require spending alotta money or spending time on the overcrowded Strip or Freemont Street.

Not a gambler. And those glamorous hotels mean nothing to me. Locals don't hangout on the Strip. So because I went down Laughlin 5 or 6 times in 5 years it was the highlight of my weekends? Damn you're strange.

In your post it sounded like you went there often. Maybe you should have stated how infrequently you went when you posted, lameass.

What did you do there anyway if you didn't gamble?

I didn't make it sound like anything. All I said was I've been there before. That's your fault for thinking I spent every weekened down there you trollish clown.

I know you won't be able to understand this but not everyone that lives out there gambles. Plenty of other things to do than waste money in front of a machine.

Spent alotta time at Lake Mead National Rec. Area. Boating on the lake, hiking, camping. See live music. In the summers would go camping up at Mount Charleston to beat the heat.

You said "I like to get out of Vegas". If you wanted to get out, you would think you would do it more often, you clown.

So what did you do out there then? And why are you avoiding the question?

What the hell are you talking about? I didn't avoid the question. I answered it. But you cut the end of my comment off. And you called me a clown? You really are an idiot.

I meant at Laughlin

Why do you care so much? You'll be disappointed to know it had nothing to do w/ casinos so I'm sure you'd find it boring.

My friends own property in the area. Had cookouts, played cards, shoes, toked up, drank & just relaxed. Not sure why you're so interested though.

Just wondering what you found appealing about Laughlin. Doesn’t seem like you liked anything about the town, just your friends. Hard to see why you are selling the place so hard. Are you suggesting we should visit your friends if we go there because there is nothing else to do?
