Iowa played much better than Minnesota did. 2 missed FGs and the fumble from Vandenberg cost Iowa a lot. If that one FG was just a foot to the right, Iowa would have won. I think that was a fluke loss. I think Iowa can hang with Michigan, but I don't think Iowa will be able to pull it off.

The Minnseota loss, while sucking big time, really doesnt effect the rest of Iowas season at all. Iowa needed to win out before the Gopher game to win the division and the same is true now. The loss to the Gophers isnt really effecting me as bad as it is alot of my fellow Iowa fans. The reality is that Iowa statistically domianted that game for the first 3 quarters and probably should have been ahead by 20+ points but the offense ( that had been top 10 in red zone efficiency coming in) couldnt capitalize on numerous trips inside the Gopher red zone blowing 3 opportunites and 1 slighlty outside the red zone. So I ask myself do I think Iowas proficiency in the red zone the first 7 games was an aberration or do I think the Minnesota game was??? The answer is pretty obvious. All that said Iowa needs to play well over the next 2 weeks at home but I dont see any reason Iowa cant beat Michigan and MSU at Kinnick the next 2 weeks. Its not like either of those teams is elite.

I disagree with you. The loss to Minnesota took Iowa out of the race for the Legends Division. They don't have to worry about that anymore. They can go into these games with nothing to lose now. I know they can make it to Indianapolis if they win out, but I don't see that happening. However, Iowa still could cause some upsets and shake the Legends race.

Eh, we'll see. Michigan, MSU and Nebraska are all solid teams but none of them are impossible to beat or even games where Iowa should be heavy underdogs in. Im not saying Iowa will win out ( 2-2 is most likely IMO) but I dont see any reason to think its not possible for the Hawks to win every game on the schedule the rest of the way. That said they could also go 0-4 and miss a bowl depending on how they rebound from the Minnesota game. Frankly the loss to Minnesota is 100% irrelevant since Iowa isnt in any different situation now as they would have been if they had won the game and as long as the team looks at it like that then they'll be in every game the rest of the way.
