I dunno...from what I saw, what they did in free agency, what was already on the roster, it was as obvious as the nose on the end of my face what Hill's intended role was to be when they drafted him. Duke Johnson, Darren Sproles, TJ Yeldon. Now they may have given the proper lip service, "he's going to be a huge part of the plan" yada yada..but it's painfully apparent that the plan going into the season is Ingram/Hill, thunder/lightening, Gus as a breather, likely gets a few series for himself in spell of Ingram.
Not really sure how it could be viewed any other way, until said players force otherwise
I also agree that the Ravens are going to try ride Ingram and he's the clear starter and work horse to begin the season, but....he's getting long in the tooth, so who knows how this goes. Last year wasn't a stand out season for him and he's even older now. Redraft I might take a flyer on him at some point, but in dynasty it seems like I'd rather not invest too much him. He's going to 30 in December, for RBs that old. 28 is the new 30 in today's NFL. Gore and AP are the exceptions and nobody wants either for more then depth.
If your going for the gold it might be worth a shot in dynasty I guess, because who knows maybe he has another stand out season in him.

Sure can't deny that. He has been "lightly used" most of his year though, and last year I think had more to do with Kamara taking over and the suspension then him declining as a whole. But yes, getting up there, regardless. Hasn't missed a game to injury in almost three seasons though, knock on wood

Well Treff - only time will tell. The Ravens are certainly gonna run a lot so there will be opportunities for 2-3 backs. Whomever shines the most will get carries - hell, it may evolve into a weekly thing. Seen it before from the coaching staff there - they really don't seem to be 'loyal' to anyone. Yet have to agree that Ingram will get fed early it's up to him what he does with them and what the other guys do with theirs. .... thunder/lightning seems to be the correct call though.

That's where I have no doubts. :)

it was pretty obvious matt flynn was gonna start in seattle

It wasn't obvious when Wilson was drafted. I even was looking into this whole thing then wondering what was going on and why Seattle even signed him to begin with.

I have seen Ingram completely crap the bed when good defenses game planned to make Brees beat them. Vikings, Rams, Ravens, Falcons, Cowboys did it last year. The year before, after AP was traded he turned the ball over twice against Chicago and was stopped dead by the Rams. Then, there was Minnesota in the playoffs.

These are the teams that could be game planning against him
KC
Cleveland
Pittsburgh
Seattle (he's already had problems with them but their defense is different)
NE
Houston
LAR (as if I haven't already disclosed)
SF (that run defense could be special)

They better get him involved in the passing game a lot because that's a good number of teams who will want to make Jackson beat them.

Yeah cuz teams always sign free agents for decent deals and plan on starting 3rd round qbs . Your thinking is just baffling. Absolutely baffling.

So other teams aren’t game planning against him, again you make so
Much sense

Look, when Seattle drafted Wilson I was confused. I understand teams sign players in FA in case they don't get a QB they want in the draft. But they signed a in demand QB they were not committed to. Seattle did it to not only potentially play him as QB but to keep anyone else in the NFC from getting him.

Dude. U really think Seattle drafted a 3rd round qb thinking he was gonna start year one? This is why your whole thought process is insane. You can’t grasp basic common sense

Seattle signed Flynn to keep others from getting him? Not because they wanted him? Got it?

Yeah, but they don't have the defensive talent to do so. Those are the teams that are resourceful. I realize KC has Spags but I think Reid's gonna have a lot of say in that regard. That's also a player run team. Arizona has a good secondary but run defense is terrible, Miami is going to be ran over by everyone, the Bengals are a team that is easy to light up. Ingram ran over the Bills two seasons ago, and I don't know what the Jets can do on short rest.

But the rest
KC is a good team and I think the players run the team more than the coach
Cleveland's improved on both sides and was already a decent run defense last year.
Pittsburgh is Baltimore's top rival
Seattle is a loud atmosphere. Ingram's struggled against them every time he has played them.
NE is good at taking one player out. Ingram is likely going to be that guy.
Houston has Watt and Clowney. They also have some other good pieces in defense and have stopped the run at times.
LAR has Donald and a good secondary. They can sell out to stop the run and play man coverage.
SF has a good defensive front on paper.

I'm glad that when we debate, even though you're dead wrong :suds: ;), you always have some sort of rational logic to back your opinions

PN's Adam Schefter reports Melvin Gordon has informed the Chargers he will not report to training camp and demand a trade unless he receives a new contract.
Gordon is currently scheduled to earn $5.6 million in the fifth and final year of his rookie contract. This report comes a bit out of left field considering Gordon reported to mandatory minicamp in June, but contract talks have apparently not gone well since then. With Gordon's short-term status in question, Austin Ekeler -- and perhaps Justin Jackson -- needs to be moved up draft boards.
