Not that I know of, he usually had very good-great overall teams but not really any stars that I can think of.

Hardaway, Stauskas, Burke, LeVert, Robinson, Wagner.

Mainly bench players and a couple starters.
which had to go into why they wanted him. He's a far better coach IMO to guys like Calipari or Coach K.

Better recruiter? That's a different story.

All seriousness this is surprising. Never struck me as a "look-at-me" type FA who would drag this out and be the center of attention in entire NBA.

Doesn't mean I wouldn't want him, though.

That's why James dragged it out. Every FA period, he knew where he was going.
I doubt it's the case here.
He just needs to be sure in his mind that his decision is what he's willing to live with for the next however many years.

He is a better developer. I mean guys at bigger programs get basically 5 star guys and 4 star guys...they do lose guys after one year usually which is really tough. But Belein just seems to be great at developing young players, perfect for the Cavs

Free agency is like 60 hours old.

This is not a long time to be drawing things out. Just because most of the other big FAs has their decisions made before even taking meetings, should not reflect poorly on Kawhi.

Prior to last summer, a lot of big FA decisions took longer than 60 hours. Sometimes a lot longer.

Yeah, what Kawhi is doing is actually the norm. All of the big names being gone so quickly is what isn't.

I do think this is possible, maybe even probable, but we have no clue. We talk as though we know him because he doesn't tell us anything?

But it's not the norm since it seems tampering is now legal. Pretty sure it was for Kawhi, as well.

Adrian Wojnarowski: Memphis has agreed to trade Chandler Parsons to Atlanta for Solomon Hill and Miles Plumlee, league sources tell ESPN.

Wow finally got rid of that contract. Basically a swap of bad contracts though

We have to sell them on potential and money
Cavs might just roll it over again and keep adding assets/picks with it for one more year. Wouldn't surprise me.

Let the kids develop, see what you got between this draft class, and next years draft class....see if Sexton is a key piece or not....etc.....

I dont think they have any intention of trying to spend significant cash in free agency next summer. I think, if they do, it will be the summer after when the free agent class is more strong and their young players have had some time to develop and hte Cavs have had some time to evaluate them.

Like with the USC kid--- he could be trash, or he could be a solid starter....before signing a player i think they need to figure out what they have.

Only issue, I believe, with the following summer is it seems many 1-2 year deals were just signed, so more teams that are typical FA destinations might have the cap room. Would think more than will next offseason.

He might legitmately be trying to choose between Canada and the Lakers. I just don't like that he is waiting to meet with the Raptors, he met with the Lakers and Clippers and now prolonging this. He has dragged it out some but maybe the decision is tough.
Took LeBron a lot longer when he went to Miami. Now THAT was a "look at me" deal

Whiteside will be a free agent! I bet the Cavs would have to outbid teams to get him though--- or just offer him the max and pray. lol

Or they can re up Tristan.

You must have no life as you post here continuously and never add much to any conversation. You and Buckalis have much in common.

Funny.
Things change.
Ask Cousins.
Whiteside would get bigger offers as of now.

Is the never end losing plan waiting until Bronny is old enough to be drafted?
