No ouch. Watching the Pats get another ring tonight (current SB champs AGAIN) could cure the bubonic plague. Like MANY other fans, from MANY other teams, I find this news boardering on hillarious.

Hate, no hate, hate is when the Eagles make a positive move. We are happy it hurts the Eagles and it's not our team paying him

Yeah..... Kinda like the Rams contract for their arthritis patient.

WRONG. He got a 4 year EXTENSION. There is no change to his 2019 and 2020 contract numbers.

See it's actually 5 + 4 = 9 situation.

Jesus bro. His 2019 and 2020 deal was thrown in the trash. He got a 6 year deal not 4. I think you need to do some reading and if I was as wrong as you are you’d be cursing me out over and over.

You really think he is on his rookie deal this year for aprox 7 million. He isn’t. They threw the contract for this year out and made a new one for 6 years 150 mill.
You think if Dak does a new deal this summer he will still get his rookie money and be paid 800 grand this year. Come on.

I submitted a bid yesterday to the Eagles for $5M over 2 years as the 'giant pretzel guy' in an offsite location for their games. They denied my offer and said I deserved $5.5M.

So this is a Philly Eagle official statement, correct?

Why are they calling it an extension?

Quick e-mail the Buss man.

I don't think that is accurate. According to sportrac the initial details are up and $107 mil of his extension is guaranteed and he is still getting paid in 2019 under his rookie deal. If I am understanding this it is an extension and not a new deal. They picked up the option for 2020 and that is fully guaranteed if I am not mistaken.

But, but ,but the cap.....
You guys still act as if the cap is a one year phenomena. Are you all this dim :L

I'm sure this is as backloaded as the other recent deals so a piece of cake to fit within the cap. I kept clicking on the link for the Philly cap in 2021 on spotrac and all I got was this

Actually that is only partially true. He still plays this year under his rookie deal. The 2020 season is when his extension kicks in $107 mil of the extension is guaranteed.

Carson Wentz

You sure. Maybe @Manster7588 is correct because of the 24 owed next year make it come out to 150. Maybe I stand corrected. My bad Manster.

Somewhere Jerrah just spit out a mouthful of Johnny Walker and cursed.

I'm not so sure. Maybe this helps Dallas a little with Dak? Does Dallas now fight to say you should come in just a little under Wentz or at most not higher? I wonder if Dak's crew was going for RW money and now can't. Maybe Dak just gets the exact same deal?

Well it’s all guaranteed so it’s gonna have to be paid. Well at least 105 of it.

Yep, Dak will now get more than 32M per year.

Hope not. Not sure how we keep Cooper and Elliot if we do but it certainly seems like that will be the case now.

In my best PE1 voice.

"Why can't you just say you're wrong? Why is it so hard to admit you're wrong? I can't believe these posters. I just can't. I can't do it anymore."

I was wrong. Manster was right. I read the amounts incorrectly and he didn’t. No problem saying that.

His will have to be different then Wentz cause Wentz has made over 20 million in his career. Dak is scheduled to make 800,000 this year. He’s going to want a lot guaranteed but maybe not tons of cash. Dak deserves some guaranteed money immediately cause he can’t risk a devastating injury and not even get paid.

Wish we got Dak signed before this deal got done.

This is why I am happy about this deal. I hoped that Wentz would get his deal before anyone else does. He set the market. I think Goff will get the same amount if not more. Next year Mahomes is going to be the highest paid QB in the NFL. I don't think Dak gets as much as Wentz did.

It's you who needs to do some reading.

He will make his original 4th year $720,000, his original 5th year $22,783,000 option and then move into his FOUR Extension.
