He still had more success than Russ when you see what Russ has done without KD.

Last year was honestly the only letdown in the playoffs from Dame and look at how he's bouncing back

He's won two playoff series and was swept in his last two.

No question OKC should've beat the Jazz last year even with Melo. Two seasons ago that team was hot garbage and Westbrook.

The Thunder won ten playoff series with Russ and lost to some all time teams

OKC has had Portland's number this year but after the stat hunters remark on Dame saying “I’ve been busting that ass for years. For years.” I hope Portland can get this done in 5.
Damn it feels good to be a gangster...

For all his other-worldly attributes, Westbrook is a mental midget.

None of them seem to want to admit it, but Westbrook has got to be incredibly frustrating for Thunder fans to watch.

On the one hand, the talent, the intensity, the fact that he never takes a possession off on either end of the court and the incredible numbers that he puts up are a lot of fun to watch.

On the other hand, there are many games, especially in the playoffs, where he just can't seem to stop himself from virtually singlehandedly shooting them out of games.

Dude had 11 rebounds and 14 assists, which is great. But he also scored 29 points on 31 shots.

Dame's last second game/series winning shot notwithstanding...but what makes rip city's win last night even more profound is the fact Enes Kanter basically played the final 3 quarters with a separated shoulder and contributed big time minutes in that span.

Kanter plays through separated shoulder in win

Dude has been nothing short of a godsend for the Blazers since they signed him.
VERY true.

Let's be real though

That was a terrible way to approach that last shot

It went in but dude....you dribbled out ten seconds and took a shot even he might make at best twenty percent of the time.

At first glance you'd say, bad shot, got lucky....But you check his eyes, he is literally eyeing the shot. That was an intended shot from that distance.

Yeah at first, when he was just standing there dribbling, I was waiting for him to start a drive to the hoop.

When it hit about 6 seconds left and he didn't start his drive, I thought, he's going to shoot it from right there...what the hell is he thinking?

Then it was..."oh, that's what he's thinking." lol

Yeah, as a pure basketball play...it was terrible.

But as you said, there are 3 guys in the league where you can say that it was actually a good shot and Dame is one of them.
I blame this loss on the coach. Dame been shooting good all night & you don't double him up on that play? If I'm the coach someone other than Dame has to beat me on the last play of that game. SMH

I'm not saying lucky. He's a great shooter.

But 37 is different than 31

Simply put he's not a jump shooter. He needs to stop jacking up shoots at untimely moments in big games.

How many series he won without Durant?

He is currently 4-12 in the playoffs without Durant

Are we just going to act like KD didn't exist?

The guy has done nothing in the playoffs without KD and he been playing the last 2 playoffs with another top 15 player.

Dame has now gotten out of round 1 3X now without having an all time great on his squad.

Not to mention he was playing with house money on that possession. If he misses they play another 5 mins.

Give Dame KD and I bet money they don't lose that 3-1 series to the Warriors.

We can't just act like Russ had all this playoffs success.

Do you not think Dame would have gotten out of round 1 frequently if he played with a top 5 player.

Dame has never played with another superstar type player. Russ played damn near every year of his career with KD or now PG-13

Yeah. That's kind of a tough one.

One the one hand, if a guy is going to beat you with a shot from the 15th row...you just say "Good shot" and live with it.

But when it's a guy who hits those a pretty good clip, you have to maybe do something different.

The problem is, play him to drive and he can hit that deep 3. Get in his jersey to prevent that deep 3 and he beats you off the dribble. Cut that off and he's an excellent passer who can set a guy up for a wide open shot.

Agreed, but that shot from anyone else on that team you can live with. From Dame?? No. Lol

Russ averages 25 8 7 and in his playoff career.

I just don't understand how you can try to dismiss that as "oh but he had KD"

The last two years have been a disappointment for sure but I think people are just piling on at this point.

Also, it wasn't hard to figure out what Dame wanted to do on that possession. As much crap they been talking back n forth? Who thought he was gonna pass up the chance to crack their faces & kill their season? Lol

Lol so you don't think KD was part of the reason they had deep playoff runs when he was there?
News flash...he was MASKING a ton of crap from RW that you are now seeing as the ship continues to sink every post season.

You probably should go back & watch that series.
RW basically shot them out of those last 3 games. And when he did decide to pass to KD it was very late in the shot clock. It wasn't pretty but most Dubs fans knew we had a chance because of RW.

Of course I do. That would be ridiculous to say otherwise.

So because Dame has won one playoff series in the last three seasons Russ wishes he was as good?

I get Dame has played with subpar talent. I think Dame is a fantastic player. I would take Dame over Russ today.

But if they both retire tomorrow Russ had the better career and its not close. So I don't get the comment.
