Just listened to it. I agree with him though about Howard and Chuck.
Oh I agree too, but man time to let it go or don't accept the retiring of the number thing. I have never heard a butter recipient of an award before like that. And don't forget Randy's back was near broken (wink, wink) then was healed in a week after being traded. He isn't innocent in the feud.

I'd be OK if they didn't win another series through the break.

We keep going in this endless cycle where they win just barely enough to keep justifying staying with the program.

Let it burn all the way to the ground. Fully in ashes.

MAYBE it will cause real change.
Jerry and the GM get replaced with more yes men. Sadly the shit owners still stay unless MLB forces them out but that won't happen. What needs to happen is the owners need to be mocked daily from all sides of the media and fans flat out booing at home.

But I disagree with that. Woody Woodward was able do what he wanted, just made some dumb trades, Pat Gillick was able to, but gave no effort into the farm system, Bavasi and Jack Z neither should have been GM and were able to get them to open the check book. The narrative around them being cheap really started with Jerry with his press conference when he was hired talking about how they were going to spend then his rebuild press conference. They’ve never been the Yankees but they’ve also never been the A’s or Rays. They need a GM who in between Gillick’s burn down the farm system for the now and Jerry’s years of control is more important than talent.
I will take Pat's selling the farm for talent with this starting rotation (when healthy) for playoffs and a chance at a WS.

the fact that you think a presser from Jerry is the only reason every pundit nationwide and every knowledgeable M's fan thinks stanton and co are cheap as fuck shows a profound disconnect from reality on your part. you're talking out of your ass about everything going on now and really don't know what you're talking about regarding the relationships between past ownership and past GM's.

and no self-respecting baseball guy is going to come be a GM for this ownership group. the only way to get good hitters to sign here is to massively overpay them, and that will require a substantial increase in payroll whether you understand it or not. there's a lot between the M's and the Yankees when it comes to payroll, so save nonsensical bullshit like that for people who are stupid enough to accept it.

every potential trading partner that has good hitters to deal will ALWAYS win in trades against us because they know they can ask for more in return from us than any other team in MLB. there's no way stanton and co didn't know that when they bought a team with a park that was literally built at the height of the steroid era to keep juiced up power hitters at bay. they're billionaires and they're smart and had a plan, and they hired Jerry to bear the brunt of the realities I just explained. the only thing they'll be looking for when they replace him is somebody to do the same.

A great org hired Servais to work for them and look at how well that team is doing. Competent orgs know a scapegoat when they see it. Jerry will land a job with a competent org as well and it'll happen very quickly. I'm betting it'll be the Red Sox.

I’ll never defend Randy basically tanking his first half but I think overall he was correct. Brad Adam had a good take that Randy might have been finally letting out his frustration over that talking point. But either way yeah, go on local radio, do a podcast or give a local interview cause Howie is still in the ownership group.

But there is a Nintendo doc on Amazon and he is on there talking about hard he worked to grow Nintendo in America after how many times they almost went bankrupt and it’s like dude where was any passion like that in winning a championship when you had 3 of the 10 best players in the game for 2 1/2 years plus the best DH.

Besides Scott Boras, who ever actually said it though? Ownership “bought” plenty of high priced FA in Bavasi’s term and two for Jack Z. Again not saying they were the highest payroll team but they haven’t been cheap since the 90’s. It wasn’t until Jerry said they had plenty of money and were going to spend it and he has only landed one real FA in Robbie Ray. In Jerry’s tenure he had a top 10 payroll. What disconnect do I have, which one of the 4 previous GM’s were cash strapped?

You aren’t even making an argument dude. There is an obvious gap between the Mariners and Yankees, but there also is a gap between the Mariners and Rays and the Rays have been to the World Series, what 2 or 3 times now?

And no teams do not always have to win trades with the Mariners. They had plenty of guys to deal to improve this offense. It was an intentional strategy to go all in on pitching and pray young prospects turned into stars. And thus far, Jerry has hit on 1.5 out of the what 6 he thought would be a core.

I’m not arguing Servais went to a better organization. But I’m arguing against the head man of the baseball organization, you’re arguing against his bosses checkbook which I gave your 4 examples of the checkbook not being the problem. You can argue the owners don’t know anything about baseball and should be more hands on or involved but money alone isn’t the problem. Jerry has had the top farm system in the sport twice and has only really made one trade from it.

apologies to @wazzu31 for being such a punk. you're informed and you know what you're talking about and you're just as big a fan as me or anybody else.

i just get so pissed and act like a teenager with this team, so i'm going to time myself out for awhile from posting. This fucking franchise.
