On a bright note, the M’s can make it to .500 with a loss !! Ownership is proud, the plan for mediocrity is succeeding !
The one thing that remains consistent is lack of clutch hitting. We have a pile of shit players.5 innings of shutout baseball against a pitcher who over his last two starts gave up 8 runs without registering even one out, then gave up 6 over 3 innings.
Seriously.
This is a FUCKING TERRIBLE BAD PITCHER and he's shutting them out.
Beyond pathetic.
Post this 4 more times and Seattle will have a 1 run lead.Yeah, this team is entirely checked out at this point and so am I.
Later...
Not just Thornton....Man, it sucks to see how many fans have run out of patience with Thornton.
Actually, Young is startting to hit, Polanco is finally coming out of his funk, Julio BA is slowly rising. There are some positives in the offense. But they aren't getting it done with runners in scoring position and pitching might be the worst we have since before the shortened covid seasonNot just Thornton....
The entire team has pissed us off. Raleigh is probably the only valuable asset, even if he doesn't hit much tonight.
But everyone else? A bunch of QUITTERS, and they'll be that way forever on this squad.
Stick that trident in 'em, they're DONE.
Who's to say they haven't already? How long before Jerry’s press conference making injury excuses on why they are struggling.
They aren’t really a poverty franchise though. There is zero reason with close to $150 million payroll Jerry has a team that has had no chance at a WS. He has had cheap young talent for 3 years, he just spends the rest horribly or does stupid stuff like trading Ray for Haniger.Who's to say they haven't already?
Poverty franchise.
