Dame is 8-12 on threes in the playoffs from 30 feet away or more. Rest of the league is 6-38

Considering who Dame is, that shot wasn't bad

I think we can definitively say who the better player is between Russ and Dame in their respective rivalry.

Dame's special.

OKC meltdown up 15 then Dame with a stepback halfcourt shot. PG played some great defense. I mean....wtf. Like wtf. That was just cold-blooded.

Easy to say right this second, there haven’t been many moments that could be said. Not defending Westbrook, he has work to do but he can do things Lillard has no chance of doing. Right now it’s advantage Lillard though yes.

Lillard can also do things Russ has no chance of doing.

Also it has been proving that Lillard is built for the moment while Russ is not.

Also Russ not looking good out here as his only playoffs success came with KD.

Lillard has had more success in the playoffs when you see what Russ is doing without KD.

I believe this is Dame's 3rd or 4th time advancing out of round 1. Meanwhile Russ won a total of 4 games in 3 playoffs without KD.

I'm a huge Russ fan but he's not looking good out here.

I disagree about PG playing great defense. He should have been in Dame's jersey soon as he crossed half court. There are 3 players who would possibly take that shot and Dame was one of them. You have to make him drive and possibly give it up to someone else. You can't just let him dribble the clock out and pull up from 30+ feet as he's been doing ALL SERIES

I mean, once the clock got down near 3 seconds the options of what could happen were limited that PG by then should have stepped up to get in Dame's grill with no worries about fouling. I know from his postgame quote he wasn't worried about that and I agree with him that it wasn't a good shot for them to take (aside from not risking a turnover and it being at the buzzer). I just think if you have good clock awareness you can close in and make it more of a long shot.

It was a good shot from Dame.

He shoot these 3's often enough where it isn't a bad shot for him.

Once again he is 8-12 on 3's from 30+ feet in the playoffs.

You have to know who you're guarding.

Easy to say all the time. Westbrook has mental problems. He can be very dynamic at times, but he's not a leader and doesn't make players around him better. I guarantee you George is sorry to be there.

When do the OKC fans turn on Westbrook as well???

Probably never. He stayed when KD left.

Basically, he's their Kobe.

Kobe was a great player and won 5 titles with the Lakers. But a big part of the reason many/most Lakers fans love Kobe so much, defend him and didn't complain when he got a big contract over his last 2 seasons is because he stayed for 20 years.

Yeah, as a pure basketball play...it was terrible.

But as you said, there are 3 guys in the league where you can say that it was actually a good shot and Dame is one of them.

I love Russ but he needs to start feeling the pressure.

He needs to find a way out of round 1 next year

Until he learns how to make players around him better, that won't happen. But he also strikes me as an immature nut job most of the time. Without Nerk, we should have lost this series but Westbrook was surprisingly bad.

Russ had scored forty plus In his last three close out games

OKC's biggest problem is they've surrounded a player like Russ with very few shooters.

Dame himself is a shooter.

And let's not act like Dame has crushed the playoffs. They got swept by new Orleans last year

He still had more success than Russ when you see what Russ has done without KD.

Last year was honestly the only letdown in the playoffs from Dame and look at how he's bouncing back

Dame's last second game/series winning shot notwithstanding...but what makes rip city's win last night even more profound is the fact Enes Kanter basically played the final 3 quarters with a separated shoulder and contributed big time minutes in that span.

Kanter plays through separated shoulder in win

Dude has been nothing short of a godsend for the Blazers since they signed him.

For all his other-worldly attributes, Westbrook is a mental midget.
