TNT dropped the ball big time. Let's show a meaningless Wizards/Celtics game instead of D-Wade last home game which likely will have huge playoffs implications. Awful

File this also under "not good" when it comes to the Lakers management, especially Magic and Rob Pelinka...

Bogut goes in on Lakers for lying to him during time in LA

"The veteran center briefly played for the Lakers last season, but they waived him the day before his contract was set to be guaranteed. While NBA teams waive veterans all the time, the Lakers apparently went back on their word by releasing Bogut."

“The Lakers told me I’d be there the whole year,” Bogut told The Mercury News' Mark Medina. “They went against their word and waived me at the deadline. Whatever. That was their decision.

"I was basically lied to."

"Bogut was initially concerned about signing a non-guaranteed deal with the Lakers, but he and his agent received assurances from the Lakers' brass that he would be on the roster as long as he was healthy. Clearly, Lakers president of basketball operations Magic Johnson and GM Rob Pelinka weren't on the up and up."

That's the way they do business. Not only is management incompetent but when they do stuff like this it makes you question if they should be running any current NBA team.

Pelinka not on the up and up? Now there's a shock.

someone needs to pay back Pelinka for his transgressions with Boozer and the Cavs. We need a FA to pull a Deandre Jordan with LA.

Didn't know Pelinka was Boozer's agent. No wonder people around the league hate him.

Buck up Nancy, lol.

They recalled Zubac from the G League to take his spot in the rotation. If he was worthy of a roster spot, why didn't any other team sign him? He simply didn't work out. I'm sure they didn't sign him with the intention of releasing him in January, but when the season isn't going to plan, why guarantee a contract for a depth center when you already have replacements in the G League waiting (Zubac and Bryant).

Yep...guessing you know he and Booze hoodwinked a blind man

Yeah very familiar with the "wink" agreement he had with the Cavs to decline his option and resign. Then he bolted for the Jazz when they gave him a big offer. They actually redesigned the CBA for the "Boozer" rule, so that teams couldn't do this again. It's why when the Warriors declined Looney's option last season, they could only re-sign him for LESS than what his team option was worth. It's why I thought they had no shot at all to retain him. Looks like he'll definitely be gone this year if any teams are smart enough to pick him up this time around.

There's a difference between having a known agreement and basically lying to a guy. If that's common practice, then that's horrible. If they told Bogut that he'd be on the team as long as he's healthy, then they cut him that sets a pretty bad precedent for future free agents don't you think?

The Warriors players have always let their players know where they stand. Even when they were gearing up for a run at Durant, they didn't pull any punches and tell Bogut or Barnes that they were coming back. Bogut got traded to make space for Durant, but came back anyways this year. Why? It's because the organization didn't bullshit him and treated him with respect. Bogut said he didn't like the move, but he understood it.

The Warriors also signed Livingston to a 3 year deal, with his last year being non-guaranteed and this whole season Shaun is very aware that the Warriors don't intend to bring him back, at least at that contract level. The Warriors were up front with Klay and Draymond about where they stand financially.

Still not a good precedent to set especially if you are trying to sign a big-time FA this summer
