I'll take the former if management knows how to draft and develop the talent.

The later's great and all if you have a plan. But if you're Cleveland, you have to be wondering how this rebuild is going to work this time around given that Lebron isn't coming back to be a savior.

And I wouldn't act like every team can take the 76ers route going forward.

This also has me curious, do you feel that the Spurs should've tanked then? They did trade away Kawhi who's arguably a top 5 player in the NBA. DeRozan's a good player and an all-star and all, but he's been inconsistent in the playoffs. Had they traded Kawhi for draft picks and assets, they would've been tanking. Instead, they traded for pieces to keep them as a playoff contender where they'll likely go to the 1st or 2nd round at best.

Are you saying that the Spurs are now a horrible ran franchise? Just curious.
Spurs cant tank at the end of Popovich's career. Once Pop retires, which is probably not more than a couple years away - they will have to see whether guys like Murray and White are true franchise guys, or more a product of coaching and system.

But - no - cant screw Pop over and tank even though they must know there chance of winning a title is slim to none after dealing KAwhi.

You really have forgotten about the money thrown around that summer.

I mean, Miles Plumlee got 4/52, Delly 4/38, S. Hill 4/48, Noah 4/72, let alone the Lakers moves as well as many others.
so, "everyone is doing it" so it was a good idea

right. lol

I mean are you saying that makes those contracts less onerous? less shitty?

of course not.

just because a bunch of teams are doing it- doesnt make the contracts any less shitty. It doesnt change what they are doing to your cap.

Bam is TEAM option next summer.

You act like Kelly O and JJ aren’t tradeable if needed.
They are. Theres always a way.
Kelly O needs to stay at that price anyway.
Try to replace him.
"theres always a way"

lol.......good luck with that.

there was a way to trade Tyler Johnson too- take back an equally shitbag contract.

You could prob trade James Johnson and the 2 years 31M hes due AFTER this year but itll cost you a first rounder and Winslow - something like that- or an equally shit bag contract.

i mean- unless you are living in a fantasy land.

You are so blinded by hate/jealousy that its almost funny.

Its just what you are.

Look at your 360 turn on James.

I could see it coming from like maybe someone 10 years old or less.

The Heat would give up a first rounder AND Winslow to unload JJ?

You smoking #ghettocrack?

Dude......it's amazing the turnaround he's done.

Lebron just won Cleveland its first title in what, 58 years?

All of a sudden Cleveland completely forgets about Lebron and anoints Baker Mayfield as the biggest star to ever hit Cleveland? Nah.

Alright if y'all are so jaded you're making the "what are the Cavs all time minus Lebron" arguments just step away and turn off your respective device.

The Heat had a couple decent years in the 15 or so minus Wade. Basically the same amount the Cavs had in 88-03.

Neither have been particularly excellent franchises in either regard.

I guess Wiggy feels teams like the Magic, Nets and Pistons are crazy for wanting to make the playoffs.

Losers like Cavs fans need to convince themselves that sucking forever is ok, because theres a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Fucking Grizzlies are useless.

Heat should still be fine though.

Win tomorrow in Washington then win your 3 games next week vs Orlando, Dallas, and NYK.

That would leave them 39-37 or 38-38 if they drop 1.

Orlando next play Philly at home followed by a 4 game trip in Miami, Detroit, Indy, and Toronto.

I don't see how they do better than 2-3 in that stretch which would leave them with at least 41 losses

And? The NBA is a league where one or two players can change the fortunes of a team.

The Heat were mediocre at best before Riley came along. You all added an all time NBA exec/coach. That was the game changer.

Yet the Cavs without James havent been a TOP 8 team in the last 2 decades.
