He is not on the committee. Almost all other analysts have a favorite they pimp so can Meyer if he chooses.

The difference is, which seems to be getting lost here he is an OHIO STATE EMPLOYEE. Not some fan boy.

Who cares he has no more influence than any other TV personality. Maybe that's whats getting lost he has no additional power by being an employee

It’s still a conflict of interest. He is going to be given a spot on a national broadcast to give his opinion and analysis all the while being paid by OHIO STATE still.

No until it’s someone else doing it, there’s no issue in your eyes.
If the WVU coach could win a NC and get the offer I would have no problem. We know the winner happen though I would love Spurrier regardless of his day job. He could be HC of FL again and I would still love it.

You can’t at least admit it’s a conflict of interest?

I absolutely hate how they have ADs on the college football playoff selection committee. That is the definition of conflict of interest.

A TV analyst has zero power with regards to rankings or playoffs. No conflict of interest. He can pimp a team no more than anyone else.
The AD on the committee is a different story.

Meyer has the personality of an old leather shoe with fresh, wet dog shit stuck in the heel.

He is given a microphone on national television to basically give his opinion. All the while being an employee at Ohio State. It’s absolutely a conflict of interest.

How? How would him saying the Buckeyes are the best everyday to anyone who will listen be a conflict of interest?

Because he’s employed by OHIO STATE. Him propping them up certainly doesn’t hurt him.

His opinion contains bias because he is getting paid by the entity he is talking up.

How does it hurt him?
"Not hurting him" has nothing to do with conflict of interest. How does he benefit

Swaying public opinion for the entity he works for and being paid by? Can you really not read between the lines here?

Again this isn’t even just a former coach or player being on a national broadcast, this is a university employee.

You say read between the lines. Either you have evidence of how it will benefit him or you dont. Does his contract at the school depend on the teams rankings? Are there bonuses involved? How does he benefit.

You are choosing not to believe if they do well in football he doesn’t get some bump? He has the ability to sway some public opinion-with this new job if OSU is close to a playoff birth? You don’t see the conflict there? He is an assistant AD for Christ sake.

You not seeing it is because you don’t want to see it.

I'm asking you how he benefits. You have nothing but "read between the lines". The fact is he has no direct benefit anymore than Lou Holtz pumping up ND.

Regardless even if he gets a bump and he pimps the Buckeyes I dont care. I wouldn't csre if it was Saban doing it. So even though I dont think he will benefit I don't care if he does.
