Thats why Murray's agent is saying that he weighs 205.

All of this stuff is a little moot. Everyone was worried about Rg3 being too think and he bulked up to make it in the NFL and then basically just lasted one season because of decisions from the neck up. It doesn't matter what you weigh when you make bad decisions.

I have Murray as either QB1 or QB4 depending on his actual measurements. I'm worried about his weight and worried about his hand size. To a lesser degree, his height might be a factor, too.
Haha, he can say he weighs 235 if he wants, it will come out at the combine, and there's no way it's gonna be 200+ unless he's putting on crazy weight this winter, and it likely wouldn't be good weight if that is the case.

I'm not sold on him as QB1 regardless of what his measurables are unless he magically becomes 6'1". He's an elite athlete, and he has a fantastic arm, but I don't know that he has the actual skillset to succeed as an NFL QB. The closest thing by a longshot that he saw to an NFL defense last year was Bama, and he wasn't even effective until the game was well out of hand. He did a great job slicing up the Big 12, but lot of guys have done that and fallen well short when it came to the next level. There was one defense in the Big 12 ranked in the top 30 in efficiency.

I don't think he weighs over 195. I think you have to look at durability but even beyond that the hand size thing is a huge deal. Brees and Wilson have ginormous hands. Murray having 9" hands or smaller probably means that his arm talent is already maxed out in college. At that point, the upside starts looking like Seneca Wallace or Johnny Manziel (with slightly better wheels) and not Russell Wilson.

When it boils down to size the biggest factor is the ability to avoid getting hit.

RW is one of the best at it. He has a stocky build which doesn't matter if 250# plus LBs tee off on him. A small mobile QB needs to know how to avoid the hits.

So regardless if he's 185 or 210 he needs to be able to avoid hits much like RW does. Those run first guys like RGIII or Cam Newton types show they can't survive with being a reckless type runner in the NFL.

I agree with you there. I think that's what it comes down to with all QB's. As big and strong and athletic as Cam is, at some point, you have to avoid the hero play and just take what you can. He is starting to learn that now but he should have started a long time ago. Even Brady side steps just enough or goes down quick enough to avoid big hits usually. It comes down to what's above the shoulders, imo. Mahomes has already showed signs of that ability to avoid hits as well. I sometimes worry about some of these young guys who don't understand that, doesn't matter how big they are.

Think it was Fox Sports radio. They were talking about Belichick showing interest in trading for Rosen. That would be a typical Pats move IMO. Going from the worst team in the league to the best would probably be good for a career.
Is this because Brady will retire?

Murray to the Cardinals if it gains traction won't happen until after the combine when they get official measurements on him.

I'd say if given the choice Kliff would use the pick on Murray but he's gotta convince the people that drafted and traded up for Rosen why they should move on from their pick after a year and use the #1 pick on Murray.

I wouldn't necessarily be concerned about Murray being able to take hits. With the amount of protection QBs have these days they don't take enough damaging blows where durability is a major factor. As long as he's smart when it comes to protecting himself I don't think injuries due to his size will be an issue.

The concern with his size is he going to be able to adjust his game like Wilson and Brees do to work around his size and will he have the offense that will work with the limitations his size will bring.

Also would eliminate having to worry about if Rosen is fragile or not.
Since Patriot Qbs aren't allowed to be hit.

Would have to be pick(s). Maybe a 3rd and 6th? Something like that? I'm spit balling.

The most foolish things I'm seeing are the comparisons to Russell Wilson. Wilson is 5'11", 215 lbs while Murray is closer to 5'8", 185 lbs. Since he's a short, mobile QB, he is instantly Russell Wilson to lazy people.

Fact is, Murray is much more like a better Doug Flutie, who was 5'10", 180. He could work out for whoever drafts him, but people instantly expecting Russell Wilson are foolish.

If Wittle Wusty Wilson is 5'11', I'm 6'4".
