Same reason the Bears didn't make it past the Wild Card Round.

Or would it be considered a double?

No... the eagles winning was not luck. Only when the eagles lose is it luck.

Cj anderson performed quite fine I’d say
I was wanting NE to pick up CJ. I don't think he can carry the load for an entire season. That's why a team like NE with multiple backs and a solid line would've been a good fit.

You should feel great. I feel great too because not only did the pats win they also pissed you off in the process.
Your ignorance precedes you. I bet on the Pats.

Not as much as I bet on the under, but I bet on the Pats.

More facts that cause you cognitive dissonance. What a surprise.:rolleyes2:

Of course you bet on the pats. They’re great! We’ve all bet on teams we didn’t want to win. It’s called betting with your head and not your heart.

Still... it pissed you off that they won and the eagles are no longer champs. It’s obvious.

Pussitits.
Sorry but after hearing his interview leading up to the SB with him saying he didn't really care if he got the ball I lost all respect.
Dude will never be a leader.

Be careful what you wish for here. Decent RBs are a dime a dozen, but there are only 5 or 6 elite ones. Unless his obvious injury that the Rams covered up (and should be fined for) is chronic and could affect him going forward.

Us Vikings fans should know all too well that giving record deals to RB's, even elite ones, isn't necessarily a great idea. Especially if you intend on sticking with them while paying them that kind of money for a great number of years.

Remember when the Vikings gave Adrian Peterson, hands down the best RB in the league at the time, that record deal in 2011? Can you imagine how much different the team might still look to this very day had they had the foresight to trade him after his MVP 2012 season in which he nearly broke the single season rushing record? He'd have been like 27 at that time, and some team would have been willing to give up a ridiculous payout to get him. For example - with how in love Jerry Jones was with the idea of bringing AP to Dallas back then, we probably could have gotten as close as we'd ever get to pulling a reverse Herschel Walker trade on them, but the Vikes decided to let themselves be the team to remain crippled by a monster RB contract.

Can you imagine the kind of salary cap hell the Rams will be in once Goff's pay day comes and they've still got the Aaron Donald AND Gurley mega contracts on the books? Any given team can only afford a very limited number of those types of deals at one time, and RB isn't a position they should look to do that with for very long, if at all.

Don't stop. I've been imagining this scenario for a while now.

When you're the top paid player at your position you should be a leader with at least a winners attitude. That entire offense looked like they had no will to win. Those loser attitudes are contageious.

It must have been something like a nagging injury because the Gurley we saw in last few games was not the same as during the reg season. No way McVay is stupid enough to not play him more if he is 100%.

Well aware.

Only said it because SJ76 was calling me on my saying Gurley has been injured since the Detroit game.

Yes CJ had more yards in that Cowboys game.
CJ was 23 for 123 at 5.3ypc
Gurleymon was 16 for 115 at 7.2

Everyone knows you need 2 RBs down the stretch especially if you’ve got a young QB. Let’s face it, we got to the Super Bowl by running the ball and solid defense. Goff picked up some big 3rd downs at times as well but Goff didn’t destroy anyone’s D.

Rams needed a dose of CJ and it let Gurley heal. Maybe Gurley had something nagging him but nothing major. He seemed to dance a bit more at the LOS the last 2 games where most of the season he hits a hole and he’s off. Plus our Oline was ok/good against the Saints and really bad against the Pats. He had a good run called back in the super bowl on a holding call. Looked like the same ole Gurley

Indeed there were times this season where McVay forgot about TG. They usually ended up in losses too. It happens in the moment and you’re 33 years old. I call it the mike Martz syndrome

McVay is very smart, he will learn from this lost.

You know a lot more about your team than I do. Love Gurley, think he is a great RB, and yes, McVay could very well have relied on gut rather than brain under pressure.
