i dont know what your 2 points were but i assume one is the facemask on goff. even if they score first and goal there they still only up 4. saints get the pi call and they are first and goal with under 1:50 to go.

Who's to say the Rams don't run the ball 3 times, get a penalty and another 3 times, maybe it's the Saints who wind up without enough time to win the game.

Just amazed how the cause and effect is not considered when dreaming up these scenarios, most here are aware of the butterfly effect. It's why some here are bitching about a passing play that stopped the clock, a million scenarios can be dreamt up.

It's not about the size of the teams market and never has been. The Colts/Saints in 2011 had a higher rating and the same share as last years Eagles/ Pats. The Seahawks/ Broncos is the second largest audience ever. At the time, the Packers/ Steelers was the most watched TV show of all time. It's a bogus argument that many of you bring up to justify the fix being in that has no basis in fact.

Bottom line is this: EVERY close game in the NFL you can look at a penalty or non-call that 'determined' the outcome. Here we are a day after 2 OT championship games, which should be talked about as really exciting and fun, and all anyone talks about is the refs.

This is the primary reason I do not follow football closely. That and the brain damage. But the ref thing is a problem.

Whether it is one ref or a collection of officials...this year has been one of the most horrible officiated seasons that I remember in the NFL. It doesn't have help they keep changing the rules and are basically playing flag football but that call would have been a penalty in any era and the ref was right there. Someone is dirty.
