As much as I'd like to do so, I'm having a hard time blaming Aaron Rodgers for the Packers' woes

Rodgers's stats for the season thus far: 61.8 cmp %, 3,504 yards, 21 TD's, 1 INT.

Compare that to who should be named MVP if the season ended today, or say Jared Goff.

Brees: 75.5 cmp %, 3,262 yards, 30 TDs, 3 INTs

Goff: 66.4 cmp %, 3,754 yards, 27 TDs, 7 INTs

Brees is way above the rest overall as things stand so far this season. That said, Rodgers has more passing yards than the guy who has been the MVP of the league in Brees, has held his own in TD passes, and has just 1 - ONE interception so far this season - or 6 fewer than Goff.

Now compare the teams they're on. Take Rodgers off that Green Bay team and switch him out with some average joe like Case Keenum, and they're a bottom dweller that never had a prayer of sniffing the playoffs, Put the same journeyman type like Keenum into the New Orleans (far more stacked than Green Bay) or L.A. with the Rams (arguably the most stacked team in the league), and I think it's fair to say that Rodgers would hold his own with what Brees has been doing, and would certainly outperform Goff.

Not taking anything away from any of these guys. I can't lie, I'm truly enjoying watching the meltdown going on in Green Bay this season as a Vikings fan sorely disappointed in my own team's season. And yes, Rodgers is a verified prick as a person, not exactly the most likable character overall beyond his football career. All that said, I can't for the life of me comprehend how anyone blames the Packers' struggles on him in any capacity. He's almost single-handedly kept that franchise relevant for the past decade now. Assuming Green Bay was as poorly managed of a franchise during that same time span except for having average/subpar QB play instead of Rodgers, they'd have been bottom feeders the entire time. Let's be real, Rodgers is like the Barry Sanders of QB's in terms of how his team wasted his prime years as a player, except they lucked into 1 Superbowl title along the road.

As a long suffering Rams fan, I'm so pleased that you even brought up Goff. But give credit where credit is due, the Rams, except on 2nd down, go downfield. So do the Saints, Chiefs, & Pats. Lesson to be learned here OC's!!

I haven't had a chance to see many Rams games live this year, but that TNF game they had against the Vikes in L.A. was a hell of a show. The Rams are legit. Too bad for me, my team isn't able to keep it together consistently enough like that to make a legit playoff push this year (well, probably not anyway). But if any team deserves it, I suppose it might as well be the Rams after their fans were forced to endure 5 years of Jeff Fisher (and irrelevancy going back beyond that to the early 2000's) doing everything in his power to dismantle and obstruct any potential that team might have had.

Rodgers has been pretty close single handedly carrying the Packers for years. they were a train wreck when he was hurt.
Dont know why people thought at some point their offense wasnt gonna falter? & their defense..... well its still the same. LOL

Exactly. To people seriously putting blame on Rodgers for their crappy 2018 campaign, need I remind them of a guy by the name of Brett Hundley?

I would agree with this. Mike McCarthy would have been gone long away were it not for Aaron Rodgers keeping the team competitive.

I think it is basically that Rogers is all they have left. They traded away alot of talent. Nelson and Clinton Dix are a couple that come to mind. Rogers has no supporting cast.

Get the Man some WR that can stay healthy and watch him work. Also an Oline would be nice as well
