Naa , Gore and the 49ers D almost won a Super Bowl. Kaep was just a one trick pony they were making due with because they screwed up and traded Smith away.

302 passing, 1 TD, 1 INT, 7-62-1 rushing.

Defense and special teams allowed 34 pts (including a kickoff return for a TD), had 2 sacks, no INTs, no TFL, forced 1 fumble.

Wanting to play and willing to play for the league minimum is not the same. Some back ups get good money and I'm sure Kaep was looking to be paid what he think he's worth.

If the owner in Baltimore feared a backlash that's a legitimate concern for the owner and not collusion. We also have to think there are players on many teams that aren't on board with the protest. They won't say it out loud but I can easily see owners getting visits behind the scenes from players saying not to bring him in. Why take a chance of fracturing the locker room?

Unless Kaep's legal team can dredge up some damning emails I can't see him winning this case. Maybe a nuisance settlement.

Yeah I agree and have agreed it's not collusion, it's each individual team deciding he is not good enough to justify the backlash. And it's hard to argue that.

Not really. Alex Smith had his chance with the 49ers in 2011 and the offense could not get it done in the NFCC game. 1 for 13 or something like that on 3rd down conversions. After the wheels started coming off a couple of years later having Alex wouldn't have mattered. Smith is not one to elevate the play of others around him and he would have buckled anyway.

All the owners care about is money and if his activism didn't piss off the majority of NFL fans (the money) or he was a Brady/ARod level of QB where winning would cure most of the fan disdain he would at least be on an NFL roster.

For it to be collusion the owners would've had to put together an organized effort that nobody was going to sign him which I doubt happened. All the owners saw was Kap was a loss of profits and they aren't taking a loss for a backup QB.

As far as Kap the QB is concerned his fatal flaw was he lacked the elite information processing that all great QBs have. I'm not implying he's an idiot because I think if you took him to the chalkboard he'd be able to tell you exactly what needed to be done with each play against every defense but if you put a gun to his head and told him he had less than 5 seconds to make the correct decision or you pull the trigger that trigger would be pulled a lot.

And that lack of elite information processing is what caused him to have other problems in his game with poor accuracy, poor pocket presence, misreading defenses, etc.

Nope.

Just 2 or 1 and the league.

Unfortunately the Presidential Gasbag doesn't count.

Speaking Tuesday, Redskins coach Jay Gruden said the team has discussed signing free agent Colin Kaepernick but decided there was not enough time for him to learn the system.

Why sign by far the best quarterback on the market when there are plenty of players who are markedly worse who happen to know your system? It's the same tired, old excuse. The Redskins are completely fine claiming Reuben Foster but not signing the player with the second-lowest interception rate in NFL history even as their season circles the drain. Kaepernick's collusion lawsuit barrels forward.

Next to impossible to prove. The lawyers will take all of Krappy's money!

You have to be either completely ignorant or a complete retard to not understand why Kaep doesn't have a job.

You're talking about a guy who at best is a high level backup. That's not enough to justify the media circus that he brings. It's that simple.

Well, there's that and the fact that Kaep seems to want more money than anybody would reasonably pay him.

The collusion suit is a joke. Eric Reid has a job right now. Why? Because he's a starting caliber player. He is a much smaller media problem, but he can play.

And as to the "there was not enough time for him to learn the system" claim. Well, that's probably true. Kaep is a one read and then take off running QB. He's an amazing athlete, but he doesn't have what it takes between the ears.

The "second-lowest interception rate in NFL history" is cute. You know who's 7th on that list? Sam Bradford. Don't see any teams lining up for him either. Why? He sucks ass.

This pretty much lays it out for him to get a check from the NFL. It won't be as a player, it will be from winning a lawsuit.

I disagree. Making a case that 32 owners conspired to not sign a below average QB will be next to impossible to prove.

This does not guarantee anything for Kaep other than he is going to spend a lot more in lawyers fees.

With that said... Because the NFL has "F*ck You" money, they may try and settle just to be done with this tool bag, but it is certainly not guaranteed.
