No, it either always works or never works. It can't be used as some sort of substitute for PLAYING TEAMS WITH A FUCKING PULSE.

There are nearly never even killer teams that don't have down weeks. We see teams like Clemson having weird luls with near losses against teams they should blow out. It's all part of football. So many reasons for it, but it doesn't create a snapshot that somehow indicates that team they should have blown out is now some giant killer monster of football.

It's entirely and completely dumb to even suggest it.

Scheduling happens years in advance. Not our fault these teams fall off after 5-6 years.

UCF doing what they do, given they're recruiting against UF, FSU, and Miami, is impressive. What's even more impressive is they're doing it with their 2nd head coach in as many years and only a few years after they laid a goose egg on the season, to include losing to Furman on their homecoming.

UCF has a legit shot against any P5 team at a neutral site, with the exception of this season's Bama team.

in a 1 and done sure luck on their side, but not in a full season against quality opponents. they would easily be 2-3 loss already in the B12 not even going to speculate conferences that play defense

If it hadn't they could get credit for beating them like those P5's Cal, Pitt, Va Tech, Miami, Syracuse, Virginia, Georgia Tech, and Duke, all do.

Would they have won? its hard saying maybe NC would have got up for UCF.... just like a FCS getting up for a FBS or a G5 for a P5 team.... thats why the game is played, at this point it is unkown and they didnt bother trying to reschedule... it might make the difference. It would make more of a difference if they were to go after bigger ooc opponents

That's a start. And bullshit no one will play them. Boise State, TCU, they managed to beef up their out of conference schedules during their runs. Of course they whined about the same shit, but Boise State actually had a legit shot a couple years but ended up losing a game both times.

They would be a 2-3 loss team in a P5 conference, but would that not be "competing with everyone?" Can we take into consideration the bump in recruiting and Athletic Department monies that would come with UCF playing in a P5 conference.

It's unfair to add UCF into the P5 equation without also adding the P5 perks they'd be adding to their program.
