This makes the Cowboys look dumber than I thought they actually were.

1) Is Amari going to make Dak a more accurate passer?
2) Is Amari going to make Dallas' play calling better?
3) Is Amari going to the last piece of the puzzle to make Dallas a Superbowl contender?

If you answered yes to any of those questions, you're a dumber homer than all initial indications, congrats.

You’re not very knowledgeable about football

With all these 1st round picks (5 in the next 2 drafts) the Raiders can go get any player they want next year.

I think Gruden is more behind this than McKenzie

Possibly....but McKenzie would have to agree with it. And for a 1st rounder? He should. I seriously thought the most they would get would be a 3rd or 4th rounder since Coop's stock has dropped since his rookie year.

The Saints gave up 1st and 3rd to move up and draft Cooks. The Pats give a first and third for Cooks. The Rams give a 1st for Cooks. All these moves were applauded. The Cowboys trade a first for Amari Cooper and the general consensus is Dallas got fleeced. Dallas just gets criticized for everything. Pats are geniuses for giving a 1st and 3rd but the Cowboys overpaid for a younger, more versatile WR.

I want to report a robbery. Chucky Doll seen running from Dallas HQ with bagful of gold.
I wonder if Howie offered a 2nd knowing that jacking the price up Jerrah would pony up a 1st?

LOL Dez is twice as good and you keep your first round pick. How did Gruden con his way into the first round pick for a receiver who can't even catch?

I don't like giving up a first for a player that is less than a sure thing, but this trade is not DOA. Cooper has a lot of upside still, and just maybe he can help turn this Cowboys offense around this year and help propel the team to the playoffs. I don't think that is what will happen, but the potential is certainly there.

The one thing I do like about this trade is I think it really cranks the pressure up on Garrett. I think with this trade, Garrett has to turn it around this year or be fired. I'd love to see the Cowboys turn it around, but Garrett being fired is a meaningful consolation prize to Cowboys fans.

I agree. Garrett will be under the microscope after this. If they go 7-9 or 8-8 I think he is finally The Fall Guy.
