Well, when your game is pretty much squinting and chucking it deep……losing the chucking it deep part doesn't help.

Well, I think most people thought they should have drafted one of the young QBs this year.

Now this may be a wasted year and they will have to draft one next year
I think they should have drafted Barkley and signed a free agent qb. This was about as good of a free agent crop you will see in today's nfl. They could have also drafted a project qb after the first round if they wanted. They've just been lying to themselves about eli for quite a while.

But Chad Pennington at least had a good completion percentage.
so does eli this year. career high nearly 69%.

penningtons arm fell off due to surgeries. elis is just time, on an already sub elite arm.

Watching though, it felt good to see Solder shit the bed as a highly paid Giant.
i told dirt when they got him that theyre paying a guy who is playing only for a check, which he is now.

dudes been thru a lot, dont blame him...but it appears he checked out. bill saw it too, which is why they didnt pay him.

Eli is completing 69% of his passes this year? If that isn't proof these new QB-friendly rules suck, I don't know what is.

Its hard because Eli is a Quality guy.

But it is time to Old Yeller him.

The earliest the OL can be fixed is next year. Another year of regression and bad play.
You win post of the week.
Congratulations!

Crap, it seems like Drew Brees is completing 95% of his passes every week.

Eli is over-the-hill, they may as well tank for #1/2 (though I would suggest they don't buy into the Drew Lock hype).

But he's not the only problem there -> OBJ's cardiology exam of the team was pretty much spot-on. I do think Gettleman will straighten the situation out (he's good at drafting linemen), but going to take time. Might as well take said time to develop a new QB.

I know the Giants offensive line is bad but I can't see a real excuse for a QB to be this bad when you have Barkley as your RB and Beckham as your #1 receiver.

They keep thinking they can milk Eli a little longer, if they just fix the line. But they can't fix the line, and even if they did, he may be shot. The Giants have spent a ton of draft capital and money on the offensive line in the past five years, and have almost nothing to show for it. Nate Solder looks washed and they paid him huge coin.

I was a little upset the Patriots let Solder go. Now they never were going to pay him what he got and it looks like BB and company once again knew what they were doing.

Eli's throws were God awful last night, he looked worse than a rookie QB out there

Beckham has given up, that's one reason

I still can't believe so many are convinced that he is a Hall of Fame QB. I"m a rings guy and understand their significance. But they aren't everything. If you look past those 2 amazing playoff runs he's has always been OK to pretty good, nothing more.

Were you watching? Or were you at the game? Because on TV, he looked awful.

I get that he had no time on most plays, but when he did have time, he couldn't get the ball downfield.

pass-chart_MAN473170_2018-reg-6_1539316616351.jpeg
2/10 throwing the ball down the field 10 or more yards, 20% of his passing yards came on a screen pass.

"Box score nerds didn't watch the game."

Eli was playing at a decent level in 2016. Imagine if the Giants were smart and had traded him to a team desperate for a QB after that season. Then, they could have traded up in the draft and had Mahomes ...
