But think of it this way: . They will end up with a good position in the draft, and with Eli off the books and rookie pay scale for their QB, they will have some funds to spend on improving the team elsewhere.

And consider trading Beckham. He's useless if they can't get him the ball.
Yeah it's called "suck for Luck". The only difference is the Colts only did it for one season.

Not to make excuses for Eli, but I was shocked about how the whole team basically quit by halftime, including the defense. That was a pathetic effort. There is more wrong than QB in NY.
It's MacAdoo, oh wait...

Not even the great Archie can save him this time. No way he can hold another organization hostage.

May the Manning football family RIP.

have you seen him throw a football? hes entering chad pennington territory.

It really was awful...even when he DID have time, his throws were badly off-target.

Not Tebow-esque off target, but definitely Cam Newton-esque off-target. Sailed a few, underthrew a lot of others

Not so fast... Peyton has twin sons...
That family tree has zero branches. Just look at the waterboy for an example. Next generation will be lucky to tie their shows while chewing bubble gum.

Elisha Manning's career is not over. He is having a relatively solid year despite his line being so inept as to not even allowing him more than about 1.84 seconds to either throw it or get drilled.

Box score nerds like the OP don't have a real NFL mind or opinion as to their omit the actual eye test of watching the entire games.

That may be true, but they both are pretty much guaranteed to play quarterback at a power five university if they want to.

The end of Eli in N.Y.: Time for Giants to move on from Manning

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Four more years, Eli Manning predicted in the summer of 2017. He said he still loved the training, the film work, everything about being a starting NFL quarterback, and he figured he could compete at a high level until age 40.

"So I don't see it slowing down," he told ESPN.com at the time.

Yet now, at 37, it is slowing down to a grinding halt. Manning has devolved into a shadow of his two-time Super Bowl MVP self, and it was clear Thursday night to every fair-minded fan in the house that his time as the New York Giants' franchise player is coming to an end.

Actually, that time has already expired. In professional sports there is no such thing as a franchise player for a 1-5 franchise, or for a team that has lost 18 of 22 games over the past two seasons. As much as it hurts to say it about an athlete who has always carried himself with grace in the world's noisiest market, Manning's exit is no longer a question of when, but how.
The giants are in the top five pick category. As a Cowboys fan I was glad they ignored qb in the latest draft. Barkley is a talent for sure, but would rather face Eli

Were you watching? Or were you at the game? Because on TV, he looked awful.

I get that he had no time on most plays, but when he did have time, he couldn't get the ball downfield.

Its hard because Eli is a Quality guy.

But it is time to Old Yeller him.

The earliest the OL can be fixed is next year. Another year of regression and bad play.

The Ol will need to learn Playbook and gel as a line.
That is most of next year, so that is a write off.

But I don't think that it is just him.

They're are other players that need to grow up. You can't go and criticize teammates and then beat up a ceiling fan when you don't get your way.
