The Phillies won today. Thanks to Nola. He is our best player next to Hoskins. Quinn batted 5th today so Flex at least
removed him from batting 9th. Losing streak is broken.

Only a small remedy in a very large problem Northeast. Blind squirrels find nuts once and awhile. This Manager doesn't have a clue alot of times and he has shown this multiple times over the last 50 games or so from screwing-up line-ups to blowing pitching line-ups to mismanaging the game scenarios on-the-fly. He is useless all the way back to the beginning of the season when he pulled the first of many bone-headed moves with the famous yanking of a pitcher for what exactly and nobody still doesn't know!!

Kapler should be embarrassed knowing that the fans look at him as being a moron. Klentak should as well. I think most know he is incapable and McFail is holding his hand. Middleton should stick to cigars.

Phillies win final game of season. However, they went one for eleven with runners in scoring position. Braves mostly played their scrubs. It will be a long off season!

The current method of Phillies management is to take baseball out of baseball. Their method of watching strikes
down the middle of the plate and working the pitch count has led to players losing their timing at the plate. So many strikeouts with runners in scoring position. Thus runners are not advanced with fly balls or groundouts.
The crazy defensive shifts and placing players in positions they are not good at. For example: Hoskins belongs at 1st base.
Hoskins should bat 4th at all times. The American league can put a power hitter batting 2nd because there is no pitcher to make an automatic out ahead of him. Last but not least Quinn has speed, he should be batting 1st or 2nd in my opinion.

Actually, if the players perform, and with the addition of some expensive talent, the Phils are capable of winning 10 more games next year, even with Kapler's style, I would think.

You may be right. But Flex will lose at least 5 of those games that they are capable of winning. Some of this may fall on Klentak too. They plan on trading Franco and Hernandez. Thus making Santana the 3rd baseman. Kingery will be
the starting shortstop. Santana can field well when it is hit at him, but his range is the worst among all 3rd basemen.
Thus more hits get by him. These are mostly rumors for now, but it shows how they are thinking.

I wonder if Kingery is up to it. I thought he was good to go after his first two weeks, then he was in the crap bowl the rest of the year, .226/.269. Must have been MLB pitching.

They have to play him because of the contract they gave him. He will be on a long leash while getting more at bats. Hope he becomes a hitter, but I have doubts!

I saw him play in Reading or LHV and he looked like a million bucks - prodigious ABs and a rocket arm. He looks like just another wimp up here. But he’ll try it again next year.

The Phillies should send all their young guys to winter baseball where they can compete with solid Latin players instead of screwing around in South Beach and partying on Von Hayes’s yacht.

Just remember, it will be the same people running the show next season. Personally I am not hopeful of any significant change and if I am one of the top free agents I would want nothing to do with Kapler.
